Sean St Ledger is having a medical today and should sign, he has already agreed personal terms. The CMS deal looks unlikely with QPR and West Ham now in the running, no big loss in my opinion if he doesnt come here. And with are set to renew our interest in Nicky Maynard. The mirror says we have won the race to sign Matt Mills from Reading, paying 4M and him 30K a week in wages. It also says we are after Wayne Routledge for 1.5M. Also the mercury has said a deal for David Nugent is possibly close
Proud, there are just so many rumours that in essence it just means we are looking at players. Okay SSL looks more likley but this is such a game of cat and mouse that all the others are just possibilities. Maynard, Rouledge, CMS, Mills - the agents are touting them like mad and playing one team off against another. Until it's signed it means very little. I feel we wont get CMS, Maynard or Routledge. Think we'll get Nugent and SSL though. Hope I'm wrong though as I would love them all but if we could get Maynard I wouldn't care about CMS.
I've said it before and I'll say it again; Nugent, sign the deal or **** off, stop wasting our time No idea why we're not in for Routledge, the guy is absolute quality. No doubt he has a greedy agent prostituting his services about, though. Mills would be quality but cannot see it happening. As for St Ledger, good luck to the guy, can't say it's a move that particularly excites me but he does have talent.
