As we all suspected and most of us wanted

@seanstledger12: Probably comes as no surprise I haven't been offered a contract @OfficialFOXES I'm gonna miss been at such a fantastic club....

Was quite a poor signing overall. Injured most of the time and not really bothered the rest of the time

    Think thats a bit harsh.

He was alright for us, granted he was on a big wage but he gave his best for the club when playing (I didn't think he was very professional off the pitch). He was and is a decent player and is a really nice guy (he just likes to party too much <laugh>).

I say good luck to him, he'll get a club no problem.

strange one SSL - moaned whenever he didnt play, and normally people hate it when people arent passionate to play, but just went about things in the wrong way.

    Top half championship 'safe' defender

Think you are being a little unfair .. he was/is a full Irish international and a prominent player for clubs he had played for before ... I think a combination of injuries and. indeed, age, meant that we probably never got to see him at his optimum ... and, rather like my fears re Konch now, would likely get ripped a new one every week in the Prem ... good luck to him, can't say I ever really got the impression that he wasn't 'bothered' ... just that he struggled to cope.

Ledge's attitude since last season has been poor. He has spent more time on twitter showing his party and hoilday pics then anything else. While we are in the middle of games he will be out and about tweeting rather then supporting his team mates

He enjoys the footballers lifestyle too much and im not surprised Nigel has never really included him in his plans. He has transfer listed him and told him numerous times he is free to leave

SSL was OK, which isn't enough for us. I agree with FF and AKCJ that he gave his all when he played, he just wasn't good enough. Whether it was because of his age, past injuries or because he was just another overrated player purchased by Sven I don't know - I suspect a bit of all three.

But I agree with Proud about his off-the-pitch behaviour - he's probably a lot of fun to know but you don't really want your highly paid professionals who aren't hitting expectations to be acting this way - and so publicly too (stupid twitter). This is not the sort of team member Pearson wants - so that says it all for me.

Glad he paid the club a compliment on the way out though - he must be bitterly disappointed such a profitable contract has come to an end.

I never would question Ledge's commitment while wearing a blue shirt. Its when he was off the pitch his commitment was crap

I think your comment "not really bothered the rest of the time" has probably been interrupted as questioning his on-field commitment, but I gathered this wasn't what you meant.

No matter what happens now, he wont be making ridiculous wages and will haveto work to get a new contract at another club, no free rides any more SStL!
