Welcome OddRiver - yes it was rather mayhem last night To be honest this has gone on so long now that the waiting and speculation has become sooooo tedious. But that might be their dastardly plan - bore us into welcoming absolutely anyone. It's gone on so long now that I'll be happy for SO'D to be announced and anyone else is going to be an anti-climax. The most worrying thing is knowing that they are choosing someone who can work with almost no budget. I'm not suggesting big spending but to go into business with almost no investment seems a bit odd.
I do hope it is not SOD I would much prefer OGS! It did get rather heated next door last evening, a lot of posters with short fuses I suspect, and it was the first day back at school for some red stripes after half term!...........
I don't know the what's or why's about what happened on your board last night as I wasn't online. But why any Saints fans would want to have a go at Beddy, Channon or brendy is beyond me.
It was complete carnage devo - totally uncalled for in my opinion. At one stage even St Goodness & CBK (amongst others) were being verbally attacked by some of their fellow supporters, for defending the mods, and trying to calm things down.
Think you are absolutely spot on SB3. I must admit to seeking refuge on your board last night to avoid getting sucked into the verbal maelstrom. And yes to OGS.
I think its more a case of them looking for someone who will spend their investment wisely. They gavce Cotts around £3 million this summer, and look what he did with it. Quality players, he just couldn't get the tactics right. CSI are obviously looking for someone is as good as Cotts in the transfer market, but also far far better tactically. I think both SO'D and OGS fit that description.

From what I can gather, about 4 people in total were banned from the site. All very silly and unnecessary.
That Barcelona numpty that wummed our board yesterday has been banned as well as the Hull AKA and Banana's new identity this morning! It seems a few Saints posters got banned from Ja606 and have come onto Not 606, from what I can gather.
I have to say that the Barcelona numpty proved that he is the world's leading and foremost expert on "pulling their strings and getting them going"! I see a fulfilling career in anarchic politics, or maybe sports punditry, awaiting him.
