Sorry to Sean and all City supporters but after last nights match my spelling seems to have gone totally haywire but ,you know what, I happen to like my bad spelling because it has a certain ring.

Wouldn't be a bad thing to hear it ringing around the terraces of Ashton Gate when our next crowd of over 15,000 turn up to cheer on the lads.

Despite all our managerial woes of the last several years I have a feeling we are in very good hands and it seems that the players are finally getting the message that we City supporters really do care about our beloved red shirts. A new belief apparently has been instilled in a bunch of players who seemed to accept defeat as they came out of the tunnel, but under Sean that is clearly no longer acceptable and, like all of you, I like that credo.

Obviously there is still a lot of work to be done but I am starting to see the new form take shape from the ashes that have been hanging around Ashton Gate for far too long. Sean appears to be a very quiet man but someone who has a clear understanding of what needs to be done to turn our fortunes around and if a rebuild is what we need, then again, we are in safe hands.

I know we are operating under somewhat severe financial restraints but as last night's game proved you don't need to spend big, or bring in overseas talent, to win games, you just need the desire, and for the first time in a long while that is what I heard last night. Listening to the crowd told me that the effort on the pitch had been stepped up a notch or two and the end result was indicative of that effort and deserving of the support from the seats.

The light at the end of the tunnel is now coming in to view and the last 2 performances, although not exactly world beating by many pundits views, can be the start of a renewed commitment from the players and the supporters to bring us back to respectability and safety.

Again my apologies to Sean for changing his surname to O'Bristol but I hope you like my thought process - wink wink.

City could have easily lost saturday, Ipswich had a clear chance at 1-0. Six changes last night by Watford. Fans getting giddy again like they did after wins v Cardiff & Palace.

I hope the quiet man will be left to do a quiet job. Fans last night struggled to understand Citys shape and urged the players to push up. Hopefully a tangible improvement will be seen over a large block of games v fans silly expectations.

Coppell and McInnes were meant to be the messiahs before!!

Interesting start for a manager who clearly has an idea of what he wants. Defence and midfield are far closer together. Lose ball, drop into shape was the mantra and let Watfords defenders have it with ten players in front of them. Fans will get a bit restless with it.

The luck enjoyed so far has been earnt by better habits.

PS: McInnes was sacked two months too late.

A bit of hesitation there then cliftonville but give Sean credit for 2 wins in a row and a better shape and commitment.

Previous messiahs don't count anymore and the fact that we were following the wrong gods home (Eagles song) is now defunct.

Time to move on and I do agree that DM should have been ousted a lot sooner but we now must live with what we have ,someting which doesn't give me any problems.

This "Honey moon" period will end soon, hopefully not too soon though, but we do have a very good Coach :)

If McInnis had gone earlier we could have ended up with Cotterpin as manager

Yes or some other nutter especially if McInnes had gone before Christmas. Remember SOD only became available at 8pm on Boxing Day!

Two great wins in terms of points gained but looking at both videos on I-Player this evening, we are still giving too many goal attempts to opponents. Fortunately Ipswich and Watford's strikers all had off days but others in future may not be so generous with us. Long way to go but it is a promising start.

O'driscoll would have been my choice before McInnes.

He has added cohesion to the team, but it will be a long term project. The Watford game saw the visitors concede firstly due to a wind assisted cross, they at times as expected monopolised the football. When City switched to 5-4-1 fans wanted the players to "stop pissin about get it up there" and "get into them!"

The squad is not up to this thoughtfull football, and fans will have a lot of adjusting to make. I am interested in his idea of process's and long term strategy, a lot of fans won't be. I hope he will be given the significant space and time it will need against results short term.
