We don't need to! Bruno, Joelinton, Willock are first choice that's a £85m midfield right there - it's perfect for where we are at - they've been fantastic for the last 20 games of the season as have Shelvey and Longstaff who will/would do as back up. Hell I'm probably the only one (I know I am) but I'd keep Hayden around as the 6th choice, ball winning DM as well. I'm HOPING we don't sign a midfielder and concentrate our efforts and resources on CB, LB, RW first and foremost and CF Wilson cover and maybe Paqueta secondly. Once that's sorted you can start looking at CM's.
Done well alongside Bruno. Because Bruno covers a lot of ground so can link up well with him. Stick him next to Jonjo and that’s when the issues start. I would go as far as saying we buy one CM and Jonjo goes not Longstaff.

His cheeky little chip towards Wilson, ignoring the fans screaming "SHOOT" against Burnley shown a level of football intelligence and a bit of finesse that I think shows he has potential in there under right coaching. Longstaff has been perfectly fine under Howe and we need the squad.
