Since longstaff came back we have 3 clean sheets in a row with him in the engine room. Like I’ve said before, a team is greater than the sum of its parts.
He played well today. He's a massive wimp though when it comes to collisions and tackles, he got shoulder barged today and was on the floor 2 minutes
So he's played well against bottom feeders and suddenly he's the best thing since sliced bread. He's still crap in my eyes. Same for dustbin Burn
Longstaff does his job remarkably well - and that job is to be unremarkable, just run his bollocks off, win a few tackles, freekicks, cover for others in the transition and support attacks with runs to make space.
I've been after poor Longstaff for so long I can't go back. I've now got so far into the argument I must keep going. I will simply wait probably a week until he has his usual below par performance and continue. I will yield if he keeps this up all season.
He was nowhere against Milan. One good performance against a team about as good as Sunderland doesn't change my mind
How did people thought Anderson got on yesterday? Thought he looked steady in the midfield - nothing spectacular but didn't look out of his depth and thought these are the exact types of games he should be playing to get the experience. 3 local lads starting the biggest away win in a long long long time was very pleasing.
Here we go with the annual Chippy had one too many pints bought for him so inundates the board with over enthusiastic ****e about players he'll consider **** when we lose our next game
Or..... Sober Chippy who is on Keto right now....... thought..... 'hey... let's hook some of the bedwetters and doom mongers with a thread or two on the back of our record breaking game to show now knee jerky some of them are... and that we shouldn't sack Eddie, bin Burn, Bruno, Longstaff, Gordon, Miggy ASAP etc etc....'............... please log in to view this image
