Just read this article (apologies if it's been posted before):

Saints defender Dan Seaborne has thanked fans, following his discharge from hospital.

The 24-year-old sustained a serious head injury outside a club in Southampton earlier this month. He has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.

“I would like to say a massive thank you for all the support and well wishes I have received through cards, messages, phone calls and emails,” he said.

“The supporters, my friends and well wishers have all been magnificent.

“I have been really touched by the kindness I have been shown, not only by the fans of Southampton Football Club and my previous club Exeter City, but also all the other football fans that have shown their support.

“It has been unreal, and I only wish I could thank them all individually.”

He also thanked staff at Southampton General and The Spire Hospital staff, as well as all staff and players at Southampton FC.

“They were all brilliant in helping me on my road to recovery,” he said and added he “can’t wait” to get back on the pitch again.

Hopefully not too long till he's back, wish him all the best !

Has been mentioned before pal but some people may not of seen it so don't worry.

In all honesty I don't think we'll see him again this season, we never actually got told the extent of the damage but a lot of rumours stated he'd fractured his skull - Cech did the same thing and still wears protective head gear, I'm guessing that Seabo wouldn't be allowed to do that as it may 'give an unfair advantage' being a defender & all. I love Jos so not too bothered about when he's back, just hoping for a speedy recovery for Dan himself rather than Dan the player, not nice for anyone to go through what he has in the past few months!

There is a lad called Christian Chivu he plays for Inter Milan, I think he used to play for AS Roma. He is a left footed LB and/or CB who also fractured his skull. He wears a skull cap just as Cech does no problem, so it should be fine for Seaborne to wear one if needed in the future.

Hadn't read it so thanks. Glad he's recovering as it looked very dodgy for a while.
