With Seaborne announcing himself to be fit for the run-in, who do you think should be on the bench as understudy for Fonte/Hooiveld?

Personally, I would go for Martin for the rest of the season - I think he has cemented his place in the squad and has shown he can step in when required. He also has the advantage over Seaborne in that he is match fit and can slot in whever called upon, something I don't think Seaborne can offer yet

    Who do you think?

cork can also play cb, id rather him there with chaplow replacing him in midfield than either martin or seaborne playing.

Don't think it's fair to drop Aaron for someone who hasn't played competitive football since August. Seaborne should concentrate on getting himself fully fit and in the frame for next season, though I think it's likely either him or Aaron will be shipped out on loan presuming we get another quality CB in.

Martin - Has done well in the majority of games he has played in plus he is close to the 10 games needed for the medal. Seaborne should concentrate on getting better. Cork should concentrate on being a great midfielder. Chaplow should concentrate on regaining his form.

Martin. He's done well. Farm them both out on loan next season.

I remember being worried when Seaborne got injured (from a Saints point of view), but strangely I can scarcely remember him as it has all been succeeded by Martin and Jos in my mind. Have to trust Adkins on this (again).

I'm sorry, if you think that then you are prejudiced against Martin. Cork is not a CB and Martin has done well apart from the Leicester game, where everyone had a bad game.

I'm honestly not sure what Adkins will think, he seems to bum Seaborne

WTF? Adkins is personnel manager's dream of a manager. He keeps players happy when they are not playing and if/when they have to go they go with dignity - Holmes is a classic example. He will nurture Seaborne, and why not? He is one of our players until he goes elsewhere, which may well be his destiny. Given his original injries, if Seaborne appears in the first team squad again this season I'll be surprised, but if he does it will because Adkins thinks he is ready. Adkins favours no-one. His re-introduction of Puncheon; the way he has handled Sharp; the fact that when one of his old time players was signed but didn't cut it he went (Forte) - these are all signals that we have an astonishing man at the helm.

I just don't see what Adkins sees in him and don't understand why he used to be a regular but there we go, he's manager not me <ok>

I am no fan either, but probably just as well neither of us is manager!
