That would make it one out - Yohan Cabaye to Paris St-Germain - and two in, and they will probably balance the books at the end of it too. It has worked for them in the past, although the majority of the players they signed in the 2013 January transfer window did not really make an impact until this season. Cabaye will be a loss but Newcastle can cope without him. Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has done a fantastic job, which began with a win over the Magpies in his first home game in charge in October. But I just wonder if some of the tough games the Black Cats have had in midweek in the last few weeks - for example, both legs of the Capital One Cup semi-final - could catch up with them. Sunderland enjoyed a great win over Stoke in midweek but they have had 24 hours fewer than Newcastle to prepare for this game, and playing on Wednesday night and again on Saturday lunchtime does not give them much of a turnaround. Lawro's prediction: 2-0 Merson This is a big game and the pressure will be on Newcastle to win the game, especially now Sunderland are out of the bottom three. If this had been played four weeks ago when they were adrift there would have been major pressure on Sunderland, but the reins are off for them now. However, I think Newcastle are a good team. The sale of Yohan Cabaye was a no-brainer because it's a lot of money for a 28-year-old. The Newcastle fans won't like it, but from his perspective he's going home to a top team in his own country in a World Cup year. Newcastle will miss him, no question, but I still think they will have a bit too much for Sunderland. It should be a good game, though. Cracking thread as usual Really looking forward to this match . . . . it'll be the first derby I've missed in ages, unless someone can let me have 2 tickets, but I think it'll be a real laugh. We have no pressure on us, despite our **** season, and could be out of the bottom 3 and flying in 2 cups by then. The Mags are just dull and Cabaye, their best player, will be gone. If they shove Shola out onto the pitch I'll piss mesel laughing.
You're welcome Gents. Can't wait for this match. Even a victory for the Mags will be futile as far as the bragging rights are concerned. This is their last match of worth for the season. We've beaten them the last two times and they haven't beaten us in 4. We have a cup final, still in the fa cup and a very entraining relegation battle. They need this more than we do so the pressure is well and truly be on them. I fancy us to keep our cool and do a professional job on them. Goal for Scocco?
Had a good chuckle at that Funky. 90 mins of Que Sera Sera is really going to piss those miserable, low life horse punching ****ers off, whatever the scoreline. We have hit some nice consistency in recent weeks and have only 1 defeat in 11 games now. In Ignacio Scocco we have the 'unknown factor' and if Cabaye eff's orf they will be struggling for any creativity so no need to think this isnt a game we can get points from. A draw gives us bragging rights in the head to heads; a victory gives us the double. A defeat means we still go to Wembley in 4 and a bit weeks time?
Serious post here. I've been told the Mags are showing just what scum they are on these boards. On every board I've ever been on, 606, not606, RTG, etc, threads regarding tickets have been sacrosanct and left free of banter or pisstaking . . . . I now discover that the likes of ACS are taking the opportunity to obsess about me like the lowlife sad bastards they are. One of them, 'Sammy's silky skills' has even stooped so low as to go onto the Man City board pursuing me. I posted a thread, asking for tickets, and offering to pay well over the odds. I made a point of saying that I wasn't going to give anyone a sob story, just that I'm an ordinary supporter wanting to buy tickets. I received a very decent reply from a very decent Man City fan. So this sad f**k Mag, and his w**k mates, claim I'm 'begging'. Can the decent Mags, who are met with respect on here, tell me what they think.
The bolded bit defo isn't how I'd describe myself and I think you're a bit of a twat, but it goes without saying that any fan asking to purchase tickets has done nothing to warrant mockery or abuse. You're proving yourself a good fan, them tickets are hard to get hold of even for home fans so putting yourself out there on these boards could be your only chance, not exactly worthy of being wummed in my opinion.
On this game, I've never been less excited for a derby. Knowing you'll be singing about Wembley all game and will be there in a months time regardless of the result has proper pissed on my cornflakes. I haven't decided if I want yous to go down yet but the only tiny thing I can take from this game is that a win could ultimately relegate you, not much else. For us it's the difference between finishing 8th and 9th. It's ****e.
FEE AGREED! Sky Sports understands Newcastle and Paris St Germain have agreed a deal in principle for Yohan Cabaye. Newcastle have already rejected a £14million offer and PSG's new bid is 'substantially higher' than that figure amid reports the Magpies want at least £20million for the France international midfielder.
Looks like Kebab's off - PSG have agreed a fee with the scum according to sky edit : bloody hell yous buggers are quick off the mark
MORE than 50 Black Cats fans will not be allowed to go to Saturday’s crunch derby game against Newcastle United at St James’s Park. A total of 52 Sunderland supporters are currently subject to football banning orders and will not be allowed to attend the Tyne-Wear game. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/news/...ns-banned-from-newcastle-derby-game-1-6400086 That's quite a lot.
