I wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea are interested. The guy is a bargain.

 

If he wants go just let him then we can move on & get strikers in, not fussed whether he stays or goes.

 

He's also linked with Spurs, in a swap for Townsend and Kane.

I'd love to see Townsend back here, but I'm not sure how he'd fit in a 3-5-2?

This I feel would be a very good deal, I see talent in both Kane and Townsend but long term value in them both also...

I agree. That would be a deal that recoups a better value for Remy than the clauses mentioned.

I wouldn't rule out Townsend as a wingback if needed - I remember him running tirelessly up and down the right (might have been after one of our many sendings off).

Kane finished last season very well and is easily Premiership ready IMO.

I do wonder if Remy is enticed by the transfer payment he would receive for moving, and if this is why we have been considering offering him a new/revised contract with bonus payment for signing it (with new terms regarding buy-out clause) and sorting out his future once and for all.

 

Sadly, if Chelsea are serious about getting him I think we'll lose Remy.

 

Apparently Drogba is not long term injured. I don't think Mourinho panic buys anyway. And he seems to have several thousand very good players populating the Dutch and Belgian leagues on loan, he could easily recall a few dozen.

 

This would be a real bummer, so expect it to happen to QPR...

Now it's a £10million release clause...this clause is more complicated than a Rubik's Cube..so far it has been reported as £8m for a team in Champions League and £15m for Newcastle...is it £10m for Europa League clubs? Can we apply a London weighting to it??

I think it was 8 for top 4, 10 for Europa places and 15 for the rest.

 

Hasn't he ruled out a move other than 'to play in the champions league' ? And if that's bollocks and he says yes to Europa Spurs, there's no way we're going to rush it through so he can play against us next Sunday!?
