i see some very optimistic threads based on renewing contracts, signing players in Holland...star players like Adebayor wanting to stay....realising we are bigger than Modric, team formations and aspirations to win the Europa etc etc...and i can say you should all give yourselves a very optimistic pat on the backs for overoming a very dissapointing weekend.....no moping around..looking to go forward and upwards with the mighty Tottenham Hotspur. i got a pm today from a Chelsea fan, typical one i must add...who said...'the clock is running down, tick tock, tick tock'......after the weekend they have had..i would have though a real fan would be celebrating his own team...classless. poles apart...anyway...pat,pat! and bring on next season and the many highs we will be part of...with the best team in the world...ask Jake Livermore!! AUDERE EST FACERE!
the way i see it, is that next season we will have a stronger squad and you have to believe we will get some much needed luck as there is no need to predict doom and gloom just because we missed out on the champions league by 1 point, even if it was to the goons! The manner in which we have missed out on our targets is gutting and does hurt but if we keep trying to progress then we will get rewards.
Well said, DM!! Yes, the postings yesterday were positive and this morning there is mention that Saha is also looking to stay. Now he may not be a marquee signing or someone we would rest our attacking hopes on, but a good player nonetheless who is clearly very happy with life at Spurs. Hopefully that positive influence will help keep the momentum going next year. Money is NOT everything, even n the land of the Premiership footballer. COYS!!
England's so-called Finest gave me the "tick tott" PM on several occasions, right up until his clock stopped at 6th spot. Funny that. Well, I laughed, anyway
Sometimes when breaks go badly enough it makes everyone involved more determined, and I think/hope that's what's happening this year. It's a great time to stick together. I believe things will continue to go in the right direction, and if not, it can't be helped! Having watched a lot of teams collapse, I'm also considerably encouraged by the fact that Spurs came back strongly at the very end of the year to get fourth, which everyone would have been happy with when the year started.
