After watching the game today and being a voyer to the boards for a number of years it made me pick up the bottle and write a few words(drink is always the answer!).So here goes.....firstly i take my hat off to all the geordie faithful who have supported home and away in numbers that few teams around the world could come close to,it has taken an embarassing 3 1 home defeat for the supporters to eventually break and vent,we are only human and you should not be expected to show up for the same punch and judy show each week without the rotten tomatoes coming out eventually. I know its not a good place to be in atm to be a newcastle fan,in fact its pretty dire but there are still ten games to be played and 30 pts up for grabs. Coloccini as a leader at the back is a massive loss,I feel for lascelles and the rest of the back line when Taylor is in charge, its tough to try and get an indication on whats happening when the gaffa is prancing around on his hobby horse in la la land.I'm sorry to offend the local lad but hes no leader and is probably trying his best .Get well soon Colo and Mbemba to save this season. Give him the armband roll up the sleeves and get on with it.The new captain looks like he wants to be here but watching his head go down time and time again after a move breaks is a trait he needs to lose if he wants to continue in a senior position. It looks as if Gini is shellshocked and looks like he has not been in a position or place like this before, I don't think hes sure what to do as the natives are becoming restless,in addition Sissoko seems to have gone off the boil also but is being played week in week out in the same position, change is good.
Up top has been a massive failure this year in the number of goals that have been scored and easy chances missed that would have changed games,Mitro is giving his all but is no match for experienced defenders with a little pace a little out of his depth in this league right now, love the passion he has for the game but can somebody buy the lad a hankerchief please. Give Doumbia a shot with Perez and see if they click before it really is too late.As for McClaren nice move to get yourself on the board, everybody can only hope you are hearing and seeing whats happening and your time is up,walk away now and save some dignity,It didn't work, you failed, employ someone who really wants the job not just a quick buck and step aside.

PS Steve I'm curious to know what you do with all the knickers from the barber

    PPS.............UNITED !

Welcome to the Toon board mate. You make some sensible points there.
I feel that sensibility is something really lacking though at NUFC right now.
