Difficult to know what the line up will be as it's a mid week game before a tough game on sunday vs Southampton. Potential line up - Gordon--------Wilson-------Murphy ---Joelinton----Bruno---Willock------- Burn------Botman--Schar----Trippier ------------------Pope------------------ Give Isak a rest or not? I suppose he was subbed but lets not tempt fate and perhaps start Wilson instead. I'd bring Isak on if necessary and not push our luck with his fitness. That team should be good enough to get the job done. We shouldn't need Longstaff to win. You could argue Gordon may crumble under pressure but I think it may work in our favour, he may have a big point to prove and the game might be enough to get the best out of him. Score prediction 1-2 to the toon.
I wouldn't start Gordon in this one. We don't want to give these ****s any added incentive to get the crowd going.
Everton clearly ain't all that, but NO TEAM can be as bad as Spurs was, we barely got out of second gear and still went 5-0 up in 20 mins. Dyche will have them motivated, but the problem is, they are still kinda ****e, they're just a really bad team. The early manager boost has long gone for them, and they've won 1 game out of the last 9 when they really need to be getting points. I can see us winning this one, I'll go for 0-2 for us.
when you talk about the dark arts Everton are masters of it they will try and turn this game into a brawl https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/...ed-preview-match-report-and-motm-poll.117428/
Their escape had started by now last season, only 6 games to go now and they're right in it. Regardless of having a better manager now, their team has got worse while everyone else's has got better. They just ain't good enough, 1 win in 9 when they're fighting for their lives tells you all you need to know.
I'm cautiously optimistic and will take a point and 3 on Sunday, the 4 teams below us are playing each other so who knows what the table will look like come Sunday evening!
I really think we'll get 3 away at Everton. We'll simply have too much quality for them in the middle of the park, and they don't often score, so our back line should hopefully hold out. They will be giving it the big un though, and might get an extra 10% in spurts, especially with AG on the bench / pitch. Most of their fans are hoping the just stop oil lad is back.
