I was working in England last week.

I went for a pint - I was able to take my drink outside while I went for a smoke - the fresh feeling of liberty as the cold Guinness slipped down my gullet while I sooked on a rolled up melody of leaf and chemicals burning away majestically.

I'd forgotten how good it felt to be able to drink outside :(

The outside drinking ban doesn't affect the whole of Scotland - just the bits where all the people live.

However, a new affront to your rights as a Scotsman is popping up on the horizon.

    http://news.stv.tv/politics/300458-labour-proposes-buckfast-ban-as-alternative-to-minimum-pricing/

    Nae mair fightyermaw.

    Nae mair wreckthehoosejuice.

Would banning Buckie be good for Scotland or would wide-os just chib you with an alternate variety of bottle?

Prohibition never works, as seen with alcohol in the USA and drugs

You are not allowed to drink outside in Scotland? Do you not just do it anyway?

    Love it ...

Blame Buckfast for all of Scottish socities ills!

    <doh> ****in politicans are idiots!

I can drink Buckfast without killing somebody or starting a fight ... if you are a neddy **** who wants to fight everybody, you'll always be a neddy **** who wants to fight everybody!

Bams get wrecked on whatever bams can get a hold of ...

Cider, Vodka, Beer, Alcopops etc They wil then start a fight and use whatever is to hand to chib somebody up!

Just designated area's, enclosed off but outside the pub, a few places have them, Bunker on bath street has turned the alley's into two smoking/drinking area's.

But for most places in the city centre it's a no chance. Gotta leave your drink inside while you go out.

Is drinking outdoors banned everywhere in Scotland? I thought it was a local law at the discretion of councils.

I don't like Buckfast so ban it by all means. Anything to annoy the wee neds who guzzle it.

I would also ban white trainers, shellsuits, Hoodies, white socks and Lynx deodorant.
