Scottish Challenge Cup Round 4 results. I watched the televised games, Bala Town v Alloa (S4C) and QotS v Linfield (Alba). Bala 2-4 Alloa was a goalfest, QotS 2-0 Linfield (AET) was the Roy Carroll show, until he was upstaged by (Fyfe Robertson's grandson ?), Stephen Dobbie ... who scored QotS's second with a superb free-kick. Both games were entertaining and far better viewing than the Internationals we are currently having to endure. Friday 07/10/2016 : SCC Ayr United 1-0 Falkirk - AET SCC Crusaders 1-2 Livingston Saturday 08/10/2016 : SCC Bala Town 2-4 Alloa Athletic : Attendance 591 (100 Alloa) (S4C) SCC Stranraer 0-1 Dundee United SCC Dunfermline Athletic 2-1 Queen's Park SCC Forfar Athletic 1-3 The New Saints SCC Hibernian 1-2 St Mirren Sunday 09/10/2016 : SCC Queen of the South 2-0 Linfield - AET : Att 2,358 (Alba) The 5th Round draw is tomorrow, Monday, 10/10/2016.

15/10/2016 : Livingston fielded an ineligible player against Crusaders and will have to attend a SPFL Hearing on Monday, 24/10/2016.
24/10/2016 : At Livingston's Hearing for fielding an ineligible player in their Challenge Cup win against Crusaders, our old favourite, sportingintegrity.com reappeared. SPFL - Livingston charged by SPFL at disciplinary hearing The replay has been arranged for Tuesday, 1 November with a 7.45 kick-off. SPFL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster said: “In the interests of sporting integrity and fairness to both sides, the game will be replayed.” Allowing Livingston to replay their Challenge Cup match against Crusaders instead of being expelled from the competition sets a dangerous precedent ... and is open to this farcical situation : If Crusaders field an ineligible player in the replay and win the match, will they then be fined and ordered to replay the match too ... and if not, by what logic why not ?!
