Interesting comments from Platt saying that Sinclair is welcome to leave if he's not happy with his lack of game time. Well that didn't last long. Article also includes a nice pic of Scotty's scantily clad mrs under a waterfall www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...-Manchester-City-wants.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
I guess that was to be expected. At least he's getting millions out of it and has plenty of time left in his career to play ball when he leaves City in a couple of years.
No patience nor sympathy for him. He made his bed, feathered it quite nicely, made an unremarkable averaging display in the Olympics, and took off from the Swans like a bat out of hell first chance he got once his patron Rogers left. We acquired Pablo - definite upgrade - from the cash we received for him and banked some change. All in all a good piece of business. He's going to end up playing for the likes of QPR one day soon - clubs with plenty of stupid money who can't tell the difference between Prem players and those that manage to somehow play in the Prem.
Totally agree. Sinclair is back where he was 3 years ago as a non used sub. No doubt he will be sent out on loan to numerous clubs. Mind you he is a few million better off.
Shame about his fall from grace, really. Remember when his goals, many of them memorable, were a huge factor in getting us into the Premier League. He was our hero then.
To a man, we all knew full well this would happen and he must have at least believed it was possible that he'd end up in the reserves or bench warming. He made his bed, time to lie in it. Left a club he was a hero at for the money, deserves no sympathy
In terms of him going for tthe money, i dont really blame him . we would all move jobs if we were offered triple the amount for doing the same thing, he also apparently took a pay CUT to come to the swans. He has probably decided his career can afford 2 seasons on the bench after getting 2 seasons of constant football and he will look at a move to another club after he has built his bank balance up again, Liverpool would be ideal for him .
Just to clarify He hasnt complained or stated that he is unhappy about warming the bench. He knew what he doing when he went there and is obviously happy with that. Dont get the fall from grace comments or the no sympathy ones. Its not like he has gone banging on the managers door and complained. In fact Platt even says as much that he is happy and has shown no signs of complaining. The headline is a little misleading and in contarst to what the article is actually saying. Headlines for headlines sake. "To be fair, though, he seems happy and hasn’t made any noises about that."
Have to agree with the above comments, he knew he didn't have a snowflakes chance in hell of being a regular starter for city (or even a regular super-sub). could have been a hero here but then again he was found out in the Prem. We got Pablo, they needed a 'home grown' player to fill the roster. We came out of that very nicely all told.
I agree that he knew what the situation was regarding playing time when he went there, and as the report states - he isn't complaining about it. It's just being sensationalised in the press. I'm sure it's the same for any player they have. If Dzeko says "I'm not happy with my playing time and want to leave the club" the same would be said - ok - you know where the door is.
Interesting comments from Platt saying that Sinclair is welcome to leave if he's not happy with his lack of game time. Well that didn't last long. I think every jack knew he would not get much game time and i cant understand that he never realized that...He must be very thick to think he would jump straight into the first team....not our problem now we have £6 million banked and we are happy....
How do you know he thought he would "jump straight into the first team"? I guess he knows enough about the game to realise that he wouldn't. I think he's happy enough doing what he's doing and earning mega bucks for it. If that suits him so be it.
Thought this comment from the Mail was funny! Anyway we all new this was going to be his lot, don't know about you, but I would have never have made his choice, money is not everything, and it's not as if he was poor, so no sympathy from me, real footballers with Passion for the game always want to play!.........
Interesting comments from Platt saying that Sinclair is welcome to leave if he's not happy with his lack of game time. How do you know he thought he would "jump straight into the first team"? Take an educated guess ivor
Sinclair came to the Swans because he wanted to be playing football. Sinclair left the Swans to go back to bench warming at best. Logic dictates that you shouldn't really be able to work out his motives but as we all know money talks and also the big titted airhead would have told him what to do too. He made his bed, so let him lie in it. We've got Pablo instead, it's a bit like upgrading from a beetamax to a blue ray.
Personally I'd like to see Scotty back here - but it ain't going to happen. Pablo went off injured tonight and there are still plenty of games in the season to accomodate him.......
I'll happily sit on the bench for half his salary. And I won't complain about lack of game time. I'd be the perfect employee.
