It's got to happen. Top professional and role model (unlike Rooney), good injury record (unlike Gerrard and Ferdinand), and always puts in a shift (unlike Lampard). Plus he's got experience and leadership qualities (unlike Joe Hart).
I thought it a few weeks ago, in the aftermath of Terry-Anton. Parker is the best candidate in my eyes, but then is Gerrard still vice Captain? If he is, then surely he will be Captain. Especially now Wilshere is injured long term, I can't think that Gerrard wouldn't start Parker for Captain though! Would be brilliant
Can't understand why there is a debate. Gerrard is officially vice captain. Fabiio Twatello will need a very good reason not to pick him. Not sure just back from injury or not guaranteed his place cut much mustard. he'd be in my team given the other available options and we have to assume he will be fit. I guess Scott would be a good alternative. I just don't like him!
