We should get Scott Parker! He's the perfect defensive sweeper-midfielder! Then we can all go and get that wicked haircut too and look like we played for Eton! And pass it round at the back and look like we're on Strictly!

When was the last time you saw an England Captain moved to tears during the National Anthem? He is definitely the man for the job!

Not a mate of JT, the man who seems to run the show.

Here we go again. Just as well we cannot buy anyone now. Can't we ever make do with the players we have and concentrate on getting them to play up to expectations rather than looking for the missing link. We've tried that umpteen times already this season. If you know what happens at the end of the season, I for one, will be glad that we have to start trawling the Leagues for players ready to make the step up the mark. Not ones with dubious track record of being too long in the limelight witout a starring role. The beauty of it is seeing that we have swooped for a player no-one has ever heard of, watching him score the matchwinner on his debut and making his international debut within two seasons and knowing that we got him cheaply in the first place.

Remember when fans were debating on this forum whether Barton was a better signing than Parker??? My word....I'd swap 10 of our new signings for Parker.

Yeah coz he'd really swap Europe and a (pretty unlikely I know) shot at the title for a team who are desperately battling relegation.

We tried to get him and were fairly close until Harry got to him....after that it was a no brainer, but it would have been brilliant to have got him. Mind you I was excited about getting Barton....how wrong can you be!!
