Great, the new Darren Fletcher, just what we don't need. We do need a Roy Keane in there, a tough as **** MMA fighter not an ad for Head and Shoulders.

Bit tough on a young lad who seems to be doing his best for you.

For me, that is our problem in a nutshell at the moment. We are 'making do' in too many positions on the pitch - instead of playing McTominay we should be selling him to West Brom and buying the likes of Bruno Fernandes - but we won't, the reason being that we have too many crap players and we can't afford to replace them all in one go - until then we'll be playing lads who should only really be in our Milk Cup side.

It doesn't make sense to replace them all in one go though? That would just be mad to be honest.

I'm fairly sure we'll buy again in the winter transfer window. Half the battle was getting rid of some deadwood and we've certainly done that.

We might have missed a trick in getting rid of Lukaku and Sanchez to the same club without at least inquiring about Icardi but we can always address striker in January if we're not scoring enough.

Zlatan would be a short term plaster to that if there's no one out there. This won't all be fixed in one summer.

McTominay is rightly being given a chance, at the minute it's Pogba who is the main worry as, along with him being completely disinterested, I also think he's being played out of position and so any threat he carries is negated.

I know, my main point is that we have to get beyond the 'Fletcher' mentality at the club (and in no way do I want to decry everything he did as a player for us) but those days of having to make do and mend and having 'utility' players is long gone. look at City (Oh that hurts) but they have specialist players in every position on the field - and a back-up that is almost just as good - that is where we have to be if we want to win anything.. I know it will take time.

I disagree, players like Mctominay are essential if you want to catch up. You have money but nothing like what is required to catch City and without players who are young and who want to be part of the club you're ****ed mate as you simply cannot afford to revamp that squad to the level of city.

It takes being funded by an Oil Emirate mate.

    Let's not pretend otherwise.

We can leave that to BT, Sky and the BBC pundits.

The telling thing is how many unsuitable players have gone through the club since Fergie left. The transfer business has been mostly appalling. We can’t even get a club to take Rojo on loan.

    And Gill.

Can't be understated how important having a bloke who knew what he was doing, and actually gets football, in that position is.

    Woodward is ****ing useless.

perhaps we can have a fire-sale in December - Pogba, Fred and Woodward.
