    Well a change from the usual suspects, but i would have liked to have seen hart giving it, I just think he will be #1 between the sticks for many years to come.

    Glad it has been given to him, thoroughly deserves it imho

    Glad Joe hart didnt get it as what happens when a captain needs to pass instructions up the forward line

    Imo should always be a midfielder who gets the captaincy as they can give out information far more easily

    hasnt hurt Spain (Iker Cassilas) or Lev Yashin/Zoff/Shilton/Buffon

    I just dont think Scott Parker will be a mainstay in that midfield for years to come, so whats the point (he is 31 now)
