Would drop McLean and let Connor on the pitch at left wing as opposed to the centre forward he will become. Deserves a chance imo.

    Agreed, 100%.

If MON wants to play Maclean again, I will say: "OI ! Martin. NO!!!!!!!!! You don't want to play that useless twat, you want to play young Connor, you pillock"

    Or something...

Watched him closely tonight, and have to say this was against very poor opposition, however he is certainly improving.

First touch was very sharp and is now using his body to shield the ball very well while bringing others into play. He needs to be making more runs behind the defence but I was impressed tonight and his goal was decent too.

Needs a run of games for us soon, even if it is just on the wing. His form really can't he ignored while our goal scoring prowess matches that of 11 Tony hibburts.

Sorry but I don't see the point of him on the wing?? We have enough wingers and not enough strikers. Move Sess' to the wing and accomodate Wickham where he should be playing. Still think coming on from the bench is probably best for him. Fulham away will be tough, have a feeling we will only play one up top.

Seemed to enjoy playing there for Ipswich. 9 goals in 21 games before we signed him. I'd agree if it was a Chopra. Just sticking a forward on the wing for the sake of it but he's played there before and can't play much worse than Jimmy at the moment.

100% agreed, would be wasted on the wing, drop McClean by all means cos he's crap lately but not just to play Wickham there, i'd push Larsson out wide and bring Gardner in to center mid with Catts if fit, play 2 wide men SL and AJ and Wickham and Fletch up front.

Hope that Wickham gets to play ahead of Saha.

Fletcher has to be 1st choice, Wickham next.

Anyone know whats happening with Ji ?

I think you need to swap him with Nile Ranger............<ok>

Always liked Wickham, bit of Shearer in him I think. Time to give him his chance.

I've said this before but here goes.

Move Rosie up to the wing, Collback, left back & Wickham up top with Norman, <ok>.

I remember Roy Keane, buying centre forwards who had been scoring for fun, sticking them out on the wing, then wondering why they weren't scoring any more!

Tierry Henry springs to mind here lads, started for Arsenal on the wing and was pap, changed him to CF and the rest is history as they say.
