Interesting piece on Player about the science bit of training. Apparently they are monitoring all players with the GPS system as far down as the U14s, so that they get background data on every player. They test every player each morning with a psychology test and a saliva test of their immune system. Based on this they took the youngsters out of 1 session of training and now they are better than many of the older players. Allows rest to be assigned on an individual basis. Another interesting point is that the GPS data shows if the training is relevant to the match situation and if it isn't then the training needs adjusting.

Just watched that Fran and thought it was very interesting. SaintsPlayer coverage across the board has improved. I think it's nice to see other sides of the club other than just the players and manager, the physiotherapy and science side of things are quite interesting too.

Nice to hear we are trying to break ground in this field.
