I have stood and sat in most areas of our beloved ground as my user name suggests over a long period. However, yesterday (long story) had to get couple of extra tickets which were in school lower. I decided to sit there with a friend and had never sat there before.

I know it wasnt the greatest of games but come on!!!! NO ATMOSPHERE, NO SINGING............

The reason........ sporadic Palace fans I believe?!!!! confirmed when the players applauded the fans at the end... How did they get tickets?

I have not got a problem with European or Asian fans but if you are coming to QPR support the team.... No colours, no enthusiasm and most (and there were loads) did not seem to know what was going on most of the time and when we even sang COME ON U R's I heard people behind asking what we were singing!!!!!! Maybe they were Palace fans as well or certainly I would suggest for the majority it was there first time, NEUTRAL or they got bored of the sales!!!.

Ok, its revenue but if you take 2,000 away fans away from the 18,000, Can we really not fill our ground with 16,000 real QPR fans?!!!! or are these neutrals stopping real R's fans attending?

I know we easily sold 40k a Wembley but it makes me very worried if we need to fill a 35,000 capacity stadium regularly......

It seems to me that there are always some away fans in the school lower end along with a lot of neutrals.

The tickets were on sale on Groupon for the lower school end, £30 each or something which was probably cheaper and easier to get then the away end!

Edit- Actually I think it's the Swansea game that was on Groupon so expect some of them in there!

We usually sit in that part when we come over for a game as the view isn't bad. Whilst there will always be some neutrals and away fans it's mostly R's fans there, certainly we would mostly join in with the chanting as there is normally a group of us over for the game. I would certainly not sit in the open part of the stand as you are likely to have objects thrown at you from the visiting fans above and it is difficult to hear if there is any singing from that part as the sound would go out onto the pitch and up into the air as it is uncovered.....
