The first hour was some of the best football we've played all season. We could have been 5 or 6 up at half-time. Then the introduction of Scholes, and not long after, Giggs. Then it all went downhill. We then got completely overrun in midfield, and both players continuously kept giving the ball away. They were great, but every player has their day and they've far surpassed it. Giggs has been abysmal most of the games he's played in, and Scholes is completely off the pace of the game. Giggs is 39, Scholes is 38. What benefit is there in keeping them? I hear that their experience is key etc, but are the likes of Rooney, Carrick, Vidic, Ferdinand and Van Persie novices then? Time to call it a day and let them loose, for the good of the club.
They can both retire next bloody week for me, especially Scholes. He offers nothing and is just ruining his reputation by carrying on. Time to move on, before two legends actually start to become annoying liabilities.
Scholes had a swan song end to his time as a player in the second half of last season, he played well. Giggs has contributed nothing for the last season or any of this season, i think he is now played to get a goal in his final season and once that is achieved he will play no more unless we are 3 or 4 goals up with minuets to go,
