Schar has his odd bad game, but is mostly solid.

His ball playing abilities are the best in our back line besides Trippier. His assist vs Brentford was incredible play.

Schar was never the issue. Arguably still our best all round player at CB, but I think Burn is slightly better defensively.

Both are better than Lascelles....I would even have Fede and Dummet and CB over Lascelles in all honesty.

Captain Fistybumps can **** off and just drop the armband in Trippier's locker on his way out the door.

I think he has done well. He will always chuck in games like the Everton one, just the way he is. However when the summer comes and we sign a couple of centre backs, I'd be happy with Schar and Burn as the other two. He knows the league, he's a good age for a centre back and he can play.

    Lascelles should be cashed in.

I wouldn't be disappointed with Burn being in the starting 11 tbh. We need to manage out expectations. Burn has barely put a foot wrong so far.

I definitely don't want to start the season with two foreign CB's from other leagues and just hope they can adjust to the PL straight away.

The other defenders have probably done well because they all have PL experience.

I think we have to accept, investment will happen. Its likely we will end up with two foreign centre backs joining. Certainly at least one.

Botman and Carlos seem most likely obviously. I watched Botman and he concerned me a little. He was pretty wooden and slow. Good player, there is no doubt about it, but the PL is brutal pace wise. Carlos looks tailor made for the league.

I defo think having competition for places is good. I also think having 2 of your 4 centre backs already being used to the league is just smart. I think Schar and Burn fit the bill in that regard.

I'm not in the least bit interested in Botman. Carlos is part of one of the best defences in the world.

I wouldn't mind it as Carlos and Burn, with Schar and someone else as back up.

Schar appears to be interesting a few teams in Italy and is a free agent in the summer. I suspect a fat contract and signing on fee with the promise of first team football over there might tempt him away knowing we are likely to sign at least one new cb to join Burn so he’ll likely be on the bench here.

Alongside Lascelles, Fede and Clark he sure as hell can’t with Ritchie at left back and Krafth as right back

plus he now has 3 central midfielders in front of him which is basically means 1 is another cb

Yes but class no. He’s a solid mid table player nothing more

Too error prone to be labelled class. Even on this good run he threw in a mad performance against Everton.

Schar is a technically brilliant defender but has a very erratic mentality.

You take the rough with the smooth. He won’t need to do as much defending now so he will come good.

He will be watching as we take over, getting the odd game. It’s all good, we will pay him well.
