If you haven't already seen the 39 minute Saturday special I would definitely do so, even if you have not yet subscribed - well worth it. Cortese and Adkins amongst other coaches and players taking photos on phones of the crowd. Players singing the songs on the balcony and also in the dressing room. Also a very nice moment where Nicola holds the trophy aloft with his elated little boy, and he gets a very big cheer. Great stuff.
they allowed chamberlain a beer which was very nice of them. also made me laugh when the players started singing 'we don't care about you' sounded like they were talking to the fans lol
Thanks for drawing my attention to it. Enjoyed with morning cup of tea before work. AOC didn't sound like he was going anywhere, said he was looking forward to next season after saying how great Southampton were. Loved the bit where someone, counting the team back in, told Adkins: there's still 3 missing. And then Kelvin came in with his shirt missing and his shorts rolled up on one leg. Brilliant. Another player said he'd been rugby tackled. Thank God it wasn't Connolly..he'd be out for another 6 months. Great days.
That clip was worth the annual subscription in itself. Loved seeing the reactions of the players as they fought to get back down the tunnel at the end and to see Adkins shaking everyone's hand and thanking all the ball boys in turn as well. Great to be inside the dressing room for popping the champagne. Then out under the directors box. Nicely married up the solent commentary & interviews with the video. The look on Barnard's face was a treat when his song was being sung, he looked a bit embarrassed still. Chamberlain speaks so sensibly and clearly for someone so young. He's got a mature head on his shoulders and destined for great things. Really made me proud again to support this great club. You just can not beat this feeling of unity and happiness we have right now. Long may it continue. Honestly, if you don't have saints player, it is more than worth the money. Why wait for 2 minutes here and there on bbc or meridian or sky, when there is over an hour of stuff from the weekend on saints player.
my favorite moment in that video has got to be when richardson comes through the tunnel saying he was almost rugby tackled. Although i loved it aswell when deano says he thought he was going to die.
Thoroughly enjoyable videos and the atmosphere in the directors box was as good as on the pitch. great to see how Nicola reacted and his son was delighted as well which made it more of a family gathering for all and sundry.
Do you realise Nicola's son is doomed to look out for Saints results for the rest of his life? Been here 2 years, been to Wembley, seen us pick up 2 trophies, now thinks life is always like that. That's how teams rope in your heart.
