Coming back from holiday, our flight was about two hours late before take off because the pilot said "the landing gear was playing up". After take off every thing went smoothly. Approaching Heathrow Airport the Pilot announced that we have to take our turn to land because many planes are ahead of us.That is not a problem because from my past experiences the plane usually circle around London. This occasion it was not so, because it looks as if the plane was still. I know helicopters can do that, but the plane was standing still for about five minutes. The landing gear playing up came to mind. We were all scared but we landed safely without any problem. I wonder if modern planes can do that?. Like to share your experience !.
They were just circling. I've had bird on run way causing aborted landing. Airplane still on runway at heathrow causing aborted landing. Lightneing stright blow off lightening rod on take off. Varied turbulance. Last flight had "broken door" requiring us to be debaorded then reboarded then alarm went off in rear of airplane at breakfast after 6 hours and the whoel air crew run down... they burned the breakfast cessna 182 take off at 30 feet skim hedge then pull vertical for a laugh while kneeling in back. Worst of all was ****ty little cessna 102 flying lesson cos it was a piece of dirt.
