Taking the rap as a fall guy for the failings of a more senior member of management is quite common in business, particularly if that more senior member is protected by "God". Can such a man at his level be the sole perpetrator of a massive overspend without those responsible colleagues around him having no knowledge? If Moody is the only guy to head for the hills, either pushed or jumped, I'll be very surprised and also dissappointed that any others (regardless of nationality) who were implicit in the problem get away with it. One thing we don't need at the club is some sort of inner mafia eliminating the competition. If this "overspend" business has just a public smokescreen for the moment until legal matters surrounding unauthorised disclosure of information are sorted, then fair enough. I'm sure Malky will either walk or make public his version of events if he doesn't get the board to come clean. If that happens, he won't have to walk - he'll be gone.
Personally i think it may be a number of factors that has led to Moody departing. The £15 million overspend is just a part of it and possibly the best reason to offer the press until everything is discussed with the suits. VT has said in the past more funds would be available to MM so it may well be the press leaks may have played a part as well. It is possible that some of the "high" profile deals that fell through may have a part to play. Some buys were completely invisible to all and sundry whereas some of the failed bids were public knowledge. Some of these could well have been deliberate leaks to put the press off the scent or MM did not want these players so Moody dropped hints to the press. Is that a realistic scenario or pie in the sky? Who knows, we may never know the truth.
Malky's agent is saying that Malky will tell all if the board doesn't come clean. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...3?utm_source=hootsuite&utm_campaign=hootsuite Lots not right behind the scenes and I can't see any good ending for us regarding MM.
Malky won't be here much longer because Mr. Tan will not divulge business dealings. It is simply not considered anybody else's business in his culture unlike our culture that believes it has a right to know everything. I am still unsure how Moody can be blamed for overspending? The board has to ratify all signings and payments surely. If Moody did leak information, surely Malky would be happy to see Moody fired as well.
I didn't say that................... Very strange that a CEO wasn't aware of the financial goings on at the club on a daily basis though.
I dont think it is the money although it plays a big part. I think trust has been broken, and Tan will not accept that and neither would I.
Given the rumours about requesting he resign there could be some truth in that MM hinted a leak would help him.
To be honest guys this imo is all a device to put pressure on Malky to get him to go, that is resign so they don't have to pay him off. Am I right in thinking Malky only has 9 months left on his contract ? If as Tan says he supports him, where is the new contract ? Nah Tan want's rid and by sacking his right hand man and imposing a kid on him I think Tan is hoping that's the last straw for him and that's him gone for free !
Thing is your use to managers doing a runner down there but once a man is in charge of Wales number one club it makes him think different as in loyalty to the fans ,pity you lot have missed all that .......................;O)
