Salutations to you kind sir. I am the lawyer for a distant, wealthy relative of yours from Nigeria whom has recently deceased and I have many monies that require transferring into your bank account. For verification purposes please can you give me your full name, the long number on your bank card and your card number. Also, for added verification (we cannot be too careful) I also require your address and postcode.

Please forward your details to myself as soon as possible as due to Nigerian law, there is a time limit to when you can claim these monies before they go straight to the government.

I look forward to your reply

you getting on mobile or landline, landline you cant do much about but if youre getting them on mobile you can download a number off apps (caller id) that will tell you what company is calling before you answer, from there you can add that number to a spam list and bar any future calls

If its on your mobile just get a screening app to block unrecognised numbers.

The biggest ****ers in the world for harassing you are Bupa.

I wanted to check my private med cover against other companies, they rang me 8 times in one hour whilst I was making food.

They've subsequently called about another 42,000 times despite me telling them 3 times that I'll call them if I want to choose them.

Haven't got a clue mate. I don't get these sorts of calls.

My wife did though so she got a screening app. I'll find out for you.

I do get this confused old dearie phoning up every few weeks about the car accident I didn't have and reported (didn't).

i only know about the TPS cos i have been a nuisance caller before <laugh> but i can assure you calling company's are rather scared of them.

    Register with the TPS

The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is the only official register to help prevent unsolicited calls. Registering with the TPS will make sure your phone number isn’t available to organisations that make this type of call. For more information or to register call the TPS registration line on 0345 070 0707, or go to www.tpsonline.org.uk

Note: Registration with the TPS only applies to your existing phone number. If you change your home phone number for any reason, including when you move home, then you’ll need to re-register with the TPS.

Be careful of 'copycat' services, especially where they attempt to charge for the service.

    He's a scouser, they've got about 5 each.

One for mates, one for drugs, one for their bird, one for tinder and one to take down Cash Converters they've just lifted out of someone's purse on the bus.

Not too sure tbh. But i know the companies take the TPS very seriously indeed. big fines handed out to companies that break the rules and such
