Well it looks like the discussions regarding the plot of land and its development (into flats/supermarket/houses) near chatham docks have progressed. PS has given a warning that this plot is one of only two viable sites in Medway and if the proposed development goes ahead vital components of the new stadium will not generate the desired cash intake. Meaning the stadium would need to move out of Medway, where an inbuilt hypermarket would bring the desired income to the club rather than be challenged by the proximity of a similar supermarket that would be part of the proposed generation of the site. Urgh. PS and Gillingham are sending out letters to every house in medway(?!) to show an opposition to the current proposal. Brings up the Stadium chat again and it's getting a little tiring, we can't move or build the stadium for a good number of years, either until we are in a higher division or earning a lot more income to sustain the club. We don't want to do a Darlington but at the same time if we start the building and bet that we will be in a higher division by the time of its completion it could be related more to the move Brighton have made. The council would want to have the site developed on asap and will only stop if there is considerable action taking against it, and as it is a £650m development it is going to need to really be considerable. http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/news/2012/march/26/gills_chiar.aspx
