It was bad enough to be conned by a retrospective change in enforcement arrangements. It was outrageous to find on Saturday the ludicrous 1 in 4 turnstiles for STHs when they represent over 60% of the home attendees (almost 100% in parts of the ground). But now I have read the brainless witterings of Chairman Scally in the programme notes. He fails to recognise the retrospective nature of the changes. He fails to understand that a STH is paying for exclusive use of a seat for 23 sessions of 90 minutes a year. Worst of all he produces the most feeble analogy that it is just like a membership of a golf club or health club! The analogy with a golf club would be the exclusive hire for a tournament and then the club only allowing the person who hired it to play. Same thing with the health club...Scally's comparisons are totally inappropriate. Worst of all is the inability to recognise how he shoots himself and the club in the foot by these ridiculous overreactions. If some adult has used a kids season ticket or a pensioner's there are plenty of ways to correct it without peeing off the other 99.999% of STHs with their massive interest free loans who keep the club afloat. Scally looks on target to be top scorer this season. Unfortunately they will all be own goals. I knew it was wrong to buy a programme. i will not do it again and I hope other STHs do likewise.
