Just a quick 'straw poll' as to the kind of reception you expect Steve Cotterill to receive at Fratton Park on Saturday

For the way he left us- and his terrible "2 wins in 20" run, a bad reception will be waiting for Cotts <ok>

I think he'll get a "decent" reception rather than a good or bad one. It won't be standing ovation but good applause I should think

Will let you know as soon as I get back from the game we're gonna WIN!

    I think a fair reception
Lets be honest, he did us proud last season for what he had to juggle with!!

SC did a good job for you guys considering the circumstances so should get a warm reception but it's always hard to show respect to someone who walks out on the club you love

To be fair Possum, he didn't really 'walk out' as such. Word is that he tried to get a longer term commitment from the club and they weren't agreeing to that. He did a fantastic job last year, way over and above what anyone else would have put up with. But it all started going to pot after Christmas, when Brown & Hughes weren't allowed to play and Utaka left, and you know what fickle fans are like, too much hoofball for their liking so the disgruntlement (is that a word?) was beginning to set in.

I think he'll get a decent reception from the Fratton faithful - but now he is a rival :emoticon-0105-wink:

He ultimately deserves a decent reception as we could easily have spiralled down the leagues with what he inherited on appointment - he took on a job when many would have thought "sod that for a game of soldiers". I think we need to remember that decent run we went on when we had players who weren't restricted from playing due to cash flow - it was quite impresive. He has my thanks for what he did in that first season - yes this one did not start as we'd have liked but we have a fairly new squad that is gelling....plus the players he brought in are decent. Best of luck to him - but not today.

Thought the reception for him today was pretty good.

It was amusing I thought, in the second half, when the Fratton Enders were reminding him about the taxi waiting for him outside the ground after we went 3-0 up <laugh>

    All good natured banter though.

The Fratton End were on top form today. 'Stuck with McLaren, you should have stuck with McLaren' even brought a few smiles from some Foresters.

I hope you realise how pathetic he is in his interviews. His interviews are always the same, "Oh we dominated the game but lost"

That and he sounds and looks like a 2nd hand car dealer

Was sat in the Fratton End with a Forest fan....even he laughed at the "Taxi for Cotterill", "Stuck with McLaren" and "3-0 to the 442" chants - great banter throughout and everyone sat around us gave him some stick which went down well!

All in all - great performance in the second half, Erik the viking gets MOM for me - fantastic performance and just keeps getting better!

He was at it again after the match on an interview for the "Football League Show"- unbelievable !! In his words- we dominated the game for long periods, and I cannot believe we didn't win. The scoreline doesn't reflect how well we played" <doh>

Still- Huseklepp's first goal was quality- could overtake Varney (5) as our leading goalscorer !!

It was a great day out..........sc took his reception as expected.......and took his banter as expected.........topped off with his comments post match.....he is MR PREDICTABLE!

Did any one notice his team formation, seem familiar? Again, I like many thank him for his efforts last season, but it was time for a change and his move has been nothing other than transforming for us all :D

As for forest.......I would be worried if I were them!
