The only thing I get away with at 75 is to say to my lad and his son - "you may be bigger, but you will only be half the man I was". Makes me feel good if a tad inaccurate.
Lost me Dad on midsummers eve six years ago. Lost me best mate, friends my age used to say you can't call your Dad a 'sad ****' to his face. You can when he's your best mate. Miss yer Ron me ald son
My old man's 80 with three types of cancer, osteoporosis and chronic asthma. The old bugger keeps on truckin' though, and he's not leaving wife, two kids, five grandchildren and a bunch of other family members until he has to. There's a lesson for us all there. Life is short and then you die, but it's the people in your life that matter. Not money, "success", fame or all the other ****. Just people...
Lost my old man in 2002 , the man who took me to Roker for my first match. SAFC v Huddersfield back in about 62/63. So it's his fault I'm on this board today. Miss u man x x x
