The putting the keeper off is ok with me, but I don't agree with the way Saylor celebrated like a twat in front of Begovic when the Freekick went in.

Out of the entire Stoke side, Begovic is the player least deserving of having his nose rubbed in it.

Seems like Cabaye knows exactly what Saylor is doing,
judging by the smile on his face

Hard to tell for sure, but I think Taylor's pratting on may have been what made Begovic end up positioning himself so far to the right - - he kept tryingto look past Taylor to see the wall and drifted about 3 steps to the right of where you would expect him to line up.

And yes, a little less of the "in your face" at the end would have been gentlemanly, but that's never been Taylor's strong point.

<laugh> "Maybe Roy Hodgson should watch that video before giving him a call up"?

Out of all the petulant, pathetic and disgusting tactics players have implemented and used to gain advantage in this sport, at least Saylor's was funny and clever. Begovic feigned injury and aimed a punch at Saylor, I don't see how gentle ribbing and rubbing it in his face makes him deserving of contempt HAHAHA

Tash, if we win the derby, I hardly think you will resist the temptation to troll Mackem mates, or indeed the Sunderland board... Does that make you a twat you hypocrite? <laugh> If so, who cares? I'd rather he and you be that kind of twat than the many other kinds there are out there!

It's not dangerous, or cheating, it's a bit of banter... When did everyone become such 18th century prudes? Stevie has a personality that connects with the fans, and I for one wouldn't change any of his crazy antics.

I dont see anything wrong in Taylor. A lot of players try to wind up other's before penalties, so why not free kicks. Let's not detract from Cabaye great free kick. A couple of steps and he get's it over the wall into the net, class.

Nothing wrong at all, Taylor's an easy target for rubbish tabloid journalists, little will be said about Fergusons less gentlemen like players, simply for fear of bans or any other such reprisals Ferguson will dish out. <badger>

No one is against the standing in front of him, winding him up before the freekick, but after the goal he did do some unnecessary wind up stuff.

Dear God did Stoke or Pulis complain about it after the game no. He didnt get told off by the ref. No malice intended just banter and a bit of winding up. Some need to lighten up.

<laugh> Isn't that what forms the majority of your posts on other boards wor Tash?

I wouldn't change Stevie or yourself for all the gold in Erebor <wizard>

This new gentlemanly Tash is boring, albeit successful and a hit with the ladies

No they aren't! They're both done to real people (perhaps in the loosest sense of the word <laugh>) and both amuse the hell out of me... It's all banter.

Let's hope you get the opportunity this year! They're a bit of a wounded beast at present, so I'm even more nervous than ever...

Did anyone notice how some the advertising boards had been moved, so they couldn't a good run up for throw ins.
Shotton stiil had a good throw in, as good as Delap.

Certainly seemed to be closer to the pitch LadyE <ok>

I was impressed with Shotton's answer to this though, running in an arc before the throw. Pretty happy with how we dealt with most of their set-piece routines however, I think our defence is getting a better understanding of each other and that would be a good thing to have sorted for next season. If we survive, I'm quietly confident about our chances next year if we maintain the squad and add a striker and a CB...

With the size of their players I was expecting more from them on set plays. But I think that Pulis' negativity is rubbing off on his players. The only one to impress me was Shotten who I mistoke for Pennant.

Love it. Stevie T is a lunatic no doubt, but he is our lunatic. I can see why the mackems hate him so much because he doesn't mind winding folk up. They took the bait some time back and it has remained under their skin. Begovic probably likewise now.

I liken him to Tigger the way he's always bouncing around. I love it after he has gone up for a corner and not quite got on the end of something. He jumps up, has a bit bounce around in front of the keeper, then sprints off. He's ****ing mental to be honest.

Top lad, don't know why he bothered cayabe would have scored with three keepers in the net, pure class what technic to get it up and under, beckham would have struggled to do that due to how close that was
