Well no more guess work, "what ifs' "or "if onlys' " now, 4th place is gone.
And a terrible way to lose it as well, with a lacklustre, error prone game from most of our players. Terry was simply abysmal, never seen him run ragged like he was. Ivan proved once and for all he is a Right Back, NEVER a central defender.
Essien was slow to, and lost almost every 50/50 ball. Sturridge might as well stay at home, so little did he contribute, Turnbull, holy mother of Jesus, what a shocker !!!! Malouda made no impact at all.
And so it goes on. Torres again , knocked off virtually every long ball played to him. Why do we play this way to Torres ???? Total waste of time.

I think our weaknesses shone out like beacons.
Terry and Ivan can be excused, this was not at all typical of them, Torres tried all night.
Several fringe players I think, have now booked their tickets home.
    You know who they are.
Sad way to end what has been a great fighting 2 months, but we don't have enough ammunition anymore to assure ourselves a top 4 place.
Guess we just have to win the CL now !!

Sturridge is an utter waste of space, he has no first touch his decision making is woeful and he is a greedy bastard. Yes he has potential provided he is man enough to put himself where it hurts for the team otherwise he can piss off.

At least The Ram proved he gives his all for the team and will rightfully be our player of the year

Some players need to take a leaf from his book and fight for their club, their place and their future

So gutted for Ram missing the final

I honestly could sell everyone who played tonight bar Brana, JT, Ryan, Romeu, Ram and Lukaku

Hopefully Luiz and Cahill can play half each against Blackburn in preparation for Munich because a backline that will include Essien, Ferreira and Bosingwa scares the hell out of me

i think what annoyed me the most was the commentators & "experts" who were banging on about our poor performance and how much better we'll have to play to win the Champions League.

No **** Sherlock.........but just how many of those playing last night will be starting in the final?

It was embarassing! In hindsight Robbie would have been better off fielding Chelsea Ladies! Only a win in Germany will be good enough now!

Don't you just love the "experts" ?? Most are mediocre ex players, some are good ex players, but their bias and arrogance is startling. They talk as if what they say is right ,simply because they say it !!!!! They all speak as if they are fortune tellers, yet are completely invisible when their forecasts happen to be wrong. Have you heard one "expert " apologise for speaking bollocks before the Barca games ??? No, we were just "lucky " , Barca were "unlucky ".
As long as the "experts" are from Sky or BBC, both Man Utd biased in a huge way, nothing will change. What a surprise Rooney won the "goal of the PL " !!!!!! Di Canios' was hugely more difficult and technically excellent. No surprise there.

    Forget about it!
Every team has a poor game, and this was one of the few, mainly because certain players who will not appear in the CL Final did not have a good night!

There is time for the players and manager to get their game together to overcome Bayern and bring back the cup.

I think last night showed that RDM is puting a clear message foward.

All of the players who started last night, will not start in Munich.

Getting a bit worried about Cahill's fitness. It has been documented that Luis is near fitness but nothing has been said about Cahill.

First time we finished above you in god knows how long. Power shift in london <ok>

Edit: and you know you are clutching at straws when you defend a £50m pound player by saying he "tries hard". Simply laughable <laugh>

I wonder if it's got anything to do with playing so many games with an injury because we don't have anyone else who can play?

I am so praying you get tanked and Bolton get the win.

You must enjoy being an Arsenal fan. You are a consitant team I must admit.

Your objective each season is to qualify for the champions league only to get knocked out year on year. **** trophies lets just qualify for something and get knocked out <doh>

Sturridge - too greedy and particularly seems to not want to pass to Torres.

Torres - a little too unselfish, eager to pass the ball and be the team player when at times he should just go for it. He also had a timid air about him last night.

Overall, it shows that Chelsea have the same problem as Arsenal - not enough depth in the squad, but I'm sure for RDM it's all about getting players he will be forced to bring into the team in Munich a little match practice. He gambled that with Liverpool's poor form he could get away with it, and no one would have thought that Terry would have such a shocker.
