As I live in Thailand, I go and watch my local team Police United. They were up against Muangthong United last night whose star signing was Jay Bothroyd at the start of the year. He has a put a couple of kilos on, but still had some class on the ball and scored a solid headed goal early in the game. He struggled near the end in the conditions, but still put in a decent shift.

Watching him reminded me of just what he could have been for us. He is the one player I wished had a real "us" attitude instead of the "me" one. Still it was good to see him play in the flesh again and I would rate him as one of the best players to play for us when he was in the mood.

With a good attitude he surely would have played mid table PL or above for his career.

Oodles of talent ... wasted amongst personal ego issues.
