QPR are among a host of clubs ready and willing to offer Javier Saviola a way out of Benfica. The Argentine striker, who is one of the few players to have played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona, has fallen down the pecking order after Oscar Cordozo and Nolita scored 10 goals between them in the opening seven league games. The 29-year-old is in the final year of his contract in Portugal's top-flight but he has the option of a one-year extension if he chooses to extend his stay and fight for his place. The 5'6" forward is attracting the attention of River Plate, where he started his career, as well as a number of Spanish clubs including SeVilla, Villarreal and Atletico Madrid. Saviola, who has retired from international football, could also ensure a huge windfall by ending his career in Abu Dhabi with Al Jazeera.

5'6" ???? Are we looking for starting XI of midgets?? Having said that its about time we signed a Latin American on some dubious terms......warms me 'eart that the Old QPR is still alive and totally bonkers
Seem to remember this came up in the summer and the conclusion was he was way past his best. Another retiree for the old folks home.....
not worried about Saveloy's height or goal scoring ratio.. what we need to know is whether he is a great lad and if he is any good at banter..
QPR ...... Lack of goals. Lazy journo .... any striker who might be on the move I'll link with QPR. End of.
