After a stressful weekend our friend and Moderator Thai canary was so fed up with things he is considering hanging up his boots, i for one think he and Dave are doing a cracking job and hope he he takes time to consider his future as Mod. I personally wouldn t be able to do your job and i would not be championing any of our members to replace you. Don t go Thai ,we all need you and love you.. Manhugs all round
SN23 i will endorse your sentiments, I have been proud and grateful to have had Thai at my side! He has a very sensible head on his shoulders, a wicked sense of humour, and massive amount of patience to run his fun league and cup competitions! I am hoping very much that when he sees how I am floundering without him, that he will reconsider and reverse his decision! No pressure Thai
Some might have guessed already as I have made mention of a certain issue that needs to be resolved by MalteseMick, the site owner. Cross board threads need to be moderated by both boards, not just the board the thread was created on. When that is resolved I will consider returning to the fold if my presence is still required by out illustrious leader. Until then, thanks for the support & China SN but it will not change my mind for the reason outlined above. I think it is very unfair on Mick's part to expect us to moderate when we do not have all the tools to perform that role. Hopefully it will be addressed in the near future as it is a problem on many boards on Not606 and not just between us & Ipswich
Did I imagine it, or did Mick, on a different thread somewhere, mention that he could delete a cross board thread? Is that a possibility to go with until, maybe other things could be set in place?
Mick or Syd can deal with them, but often an instant response is required rather than having to send a pm, then waiting for it to be read and dealt with
Go on Thai, reconsider. You and Dave are like Lambert and McNally, Lennon and McCartney, Morecambe and Wise, erm.. other double acts that I can't think of... all are still good on their own, but we want you together!
thai, I do not post on here much, but do see your posts on several sites as i wander aroud the site reading various threads that heve good banter in them. You always seem fairly even on your comments, & you must have a lot of time on your hands with all your work on here. Anyway it is only through the hard work of people like yourself that this site will keep going. Please think about your position as moderator.
Sorry things have been tough for you, Thai. I don't get as much time to mooch around here as I would like, so have no idea what is happening, but I do know that I think of you as a thoroughly decent chap and I hope everything can be resolved and that you will stay with us. *hugs*
