    He said today that he doesn't rate Mertesacker because he was rubbish at Madrid. Would be a good point except that it was Metzelder who played for them, not Mertesacker. Even for him thats moronic.

    Norwich fan in peace, was listening to the coverage and couldn't believe this, also the other guy (not David Pleat who sounded intelligent and reasonable, I know it's risky saying that on an Arsenal board!) who thought that Everton would finish above Arsenal!? Everton who have no money, no strikers and now not their best player? The only thing that will save them from a relegation battle is Moyes, and who knows how much longer he'll be there with what;s going on. Does this guy watch football or is he basing his predictions on one freak result?

    I turn it off (sound) whenever he on anything - the BBC and ESPN are ****ing hopeless at judging 'expert' commentators.

    Just do what Souness allegedly did when confronted by Mr Savage & ask him to show you his medals. Makes you think what Graeme Le Seaux did so wrong, lol!

    He was quoted last night as saying that Craig Bellamy was the best player in the premier league a few seasons ago. I must have been in a coma for the whole of that season.

    To say that Savage is an idiot is an insult to idiots around the world. When will the powers who run football coverage in this country realize that precious few ex-footballers make good pundits?

    I would go to my grave a happy man if I saw Souness kick Redknapp through the glass of the Sky commentary box.

    Although in my opinion Sky's best pundit is Ruud Gullit. During Sky's Champions league coverage he is always the most astute analyist in the studio.
