The good news, Cresswell is back......

The bad news, Sonko + Bowyer are out.....

The FANTASTIC news, Delaney is out and theres a good chance Murphy is out also !
( Please cancel his loan immediately the guy offers nothing )

    So what happens saturday ?

I presume after JET playing relatively well away at Millwall, and having 90 minutes for the reserves he will line up.

Out of Carson + Martin, I notice Martin got subbed and Carson didn't...... Therefore if only 1 of the 2 make the squad, surely its going to be Josh. Could be your chance, lad!

Got a funny feeling Priskin could be on the bench saturday too.......

Carson got some praise at the AGM last night for his good attitude in recent weeks, I wouldn't be surprised if he started, I think I recall Priskin receiving some postive words a week or two ago as well but if Ellington and Murphy are both out it's between him and Murray for the bench, unless Jewell goes with JET and Carson.

I'd like to see Wabara play in the holding role with Bullard and Andrews in the wide roles of the diamond and JET at the point with Scotland and Chopra up front, however Leadbitter will no doubt keep his place and do feck all but pass backwards for 90 minutes.

it must be time to give carson a go. paul jewell has stated that he didnt come back for pre season in good shape so fair enough, make him work hard to get back to where he needs to be. but last season he was brilliant for us when he played. he offers genuine width, pace and the ability to get past a man and get to the bye line for a cross which is something we havent had this season.
its an important game on saturday and we really do need the 3 points. donny are in dire trouble but you never know in this division. a win will keep us up there but anything else will be a massive disappointment for me

Personally think this weekend gives us an option of having a tinker I'd go back to the system we used last season but obviously with different personnel

    Stockdale
    Edwards. Ingi. Collins. Cresswell
    Leadbitter. Andrews
    JET. Bullard Martin/Carson
    Chops

    Subs:
    ALB
    Priskin
    Wabara
    Martin/Carson
    Kennedy

Personally i reckon this will work well, will allow Edwards and Cresswell to get forward without being our only threat as well as having some protection. Leadbitter will be solid and win his tackles, Andrews will be busy and Bullard will hopefully play with some freedom. I'd also like to see Priskin play up top with chops as I reckon they could be our answer to a goal scoring partnership.

*This is assuming Ellington, Scotland, Bowyer and Sonko are rested and would try this system anyway.

" I'd like to see Wabara play in the holding role "

    Not convinced he's a holding midfielder !

He did well at full back against Millwall, Edwards had a poor game and I wouldn't be surprised to see Warbara get the nod....

I'm still not convinced about Jet in the wide role, I'd prefer to actually see him play up top with the striker. I have a feeling that we may play the diamond still with Kennedy coming in instead of Bowyer, pushing bullard further up the pitch or maybe a straight swap, I'm not saying this is what I think we should play but more what Jewell will do. Preferably this is probably the team I would play:

    Stockdale
    Edwards/Wabara - Ingi - Collins - Cresswell
    Martin - Bullard - Andrews - Carson
    Chopra - JET/Scotland

Perhaps this is not a very solid team and has alot of inconsistent players in it but also more players with a bit of pace and the ability to take players on. Perhaps I'm being a bit gungho!!

I would prefer never to see JET in a Town shirt again until he has learnt about workrate and getting involved. He's a lazy **** who I think should be loaned out to some lower league bunch of rubbish so he learns just how lucky he is. He seems to think he has made it after having a fairly easy life at Arsenal and coming to a relatively large club (stadium, facilities etc) A reality check is in order.
I cant see Jewell changing from a 442 formation. The front two should be fairly obvious. The back 4 speaks for itself depending on fitness and the midfield will, I suspect only see 1 change.
