    Evening lads,

I know I'm in early here, but having got home delighted from our game, then sat straight down and watched yours, wonder what the feeling is for Saturday?

Always tight these games despite your general extra level in terms of class, but it's looking like finally we've found some form, and we'll be a threat to anyone at the minute!

Downside, Rose can't play, and the boy has been beyond brilliant for us, 11 outta 10 today, we would appreciate a quick sale, thanks ;)

Really impressed today, I know Villa re dog ****e, but it was the sheer weight of how much you battered them, especially first half, could have been a cricket score.

Bale & Defoe worry me, always, as we don't cope with pace, likewise, Sessegnon has been in outrageous nick and I fancy he'll cause you problems, Johnson is slowly starting to decide he does fancy being a footballer as well, which is a bonus.

Always a cracking away following, and always something to talk about, I'd take a draw now, but going to go for a 'we just beat the champions, again' overly confident 2-1 Sunderland.

    All the best lads.

Never easy at your place. You'll be confident after today's result, but so will we be. I'd be happy with any sort of win. More realistically, I think it will most likely be a draw.

That's where my money would go at the minute, come Saturday, as per, I'll be convinced we will win, of course.

    Great day wasn't it MONsMush?

I knew MON would work out City. Bale and Lennon will harder to defend against playing that way.

It'll be interesting to see how we approach the game. A lot of ties in a very short space of time.
I'd expect Gallas to miss out on this game, for a start.

Gonna be close but a score draw would be my pick.

Simple as it sounds, close the space down the middle and City really struggle, Rose was imperious down the left, and Gardner outstanding down the right, they had a load of shots, but I can honestly say only Aguero had what I'd call a real chance, and he was so frustrated by that point that he rushed it and Mig saved.

If we could play City at home every week, we'd be champions!

Please play Gallas, he's actually awesome....

He's decent if you only play him once every 10 days. Seems to be our plan though, so it's not too annoying.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Vertonghen back at left-back and Dawson and Caulker thrown back in for this one, though.
That's why I'd like to see us recall Rose in January. We may as well do it now actually, as he can't play again til the new year.
Having an actual left-back would be a nice change. It's been a while.

On Rose, do you think you'll sell?

I know he's been quality for us, but he's not likely to displace a fit BAE, Vertonghon has been pretty good there, and you have Naughton who I think is half decent as well.

He's not gonna play too much is he,we love him, but I doubt he's top 4 calibre right now.

We want him, we love him.

My feeling is that, yes we are liable to sell Rose. Maybe not in Jan, but in the summer

I've got the match down as a nil nil although I can see us losing if we don't play well. We are very poor in the North East...It is very rare for us to get a win up at yours, the toons or Boros places...however this season we seem a bit better away from home.
As for Rose - It depends on if who we sign as to whether we sell him. Glad to see him play well and regularly.

Hope your right RCL, with us playing away at Everton it would be nice if the teams around us slipped up but I think the days of Spurs struggling North of the M25 on a cold winters day/night are long gone now. Your problem has been at home to be fair

If I didn't know you better DL I'd say you were trying to jinx us <laugh>
I can't remember the last time we won in the North East...haven't won in Sunderland in an age and only remember us beating Toon in a cup match 5 years ago and used to draw at best with boro.

Hope you had a good xmas...mind you smashing leeds away and scoring 8 v villa gave you a good start!

RCL in a season where Spurs have won at Old Trafford, United "winning" at Stamford Bridge and West Ham beating Chelsea I'm surprised your ruling anything out <laugh>

That away win at Old Trafford tested your resolve and you came out with flying colours, since then you've been tested at Southampton and passed, it's only really City, Arsenal and Everton where you've crumbled but they are top sides.

    I think you'll beat Sunderland :(

We are the only P/L team to score in every away game so far this season!

    Indeed we are.

In fact, we've scored 20 away goals this season (9 games) compared with just 14 at home (10 games).

It depends which sunderland show up as before this mini run of form, sunderland looked utter garbage and O'neil looked to be making little impact.

Now they have their confidence back and are performing as a unit, plus there is a decent amount of talent yet last season when we played sunderland away, they refused to leave their own half.

If O'neil trys to win the game then i can see us getting joy on the counter.

If O'neil plays it safe and trys to frustrate us then it will be a long afternoon and no doubt we will concede a cheap goal from a corner!

Either way am expecting a tough game and not getting carried away by our win at villa as there defence bascially opened up and allowed us to create space, while sunderland will close us down.
