All our best results this season have come on a Saturday. We do not play on a Saturday often. Especially at 3pm. But we do a whole lot better at that time and day. Unfortunately most of our games are on Sunday's. Thats not just because of EL, because its the same every season. The last time we had a lot of our games on Saturday's at 3pm was the 2008/2009 season. We were runners up that year. I think there is some thing about 3pm on Saturdays that feels easier.
Well all our Leagues wins this season have been on a Saturday. The only two games on a Saturday we didnt win were West Brom (L) and Sunderland (D). Thats 13 points from a possible 18. Previous seasons, not so much. But I remember we had a lot ofSaturday games in the 08-09 season. In the 09-10 season we played Europa League. I looked at last season and that breaks my point. We lost 6, won 7. But A lot of those wins were first half and defeats second half of the season. So no, I dont have stats and admit that some of what I said may have been a load of rubbish. This season we are doing well on Saturdays.
Yeah, I was thinking we played EL in 09-10 (relegated from CL) and 10-11 but we had a fair few Saturday games last season (I only have ESPN and I watched a lot of games on home TV). Just wondered if you had access to any figures. Under Rafa, we always did well after a midweek European game. Maybe Rafa over complicated things at times?
