Just wondering how many others are making the pilgrimage to Newbury on Saturday.

I've promised myself that where ever Frankel runs, in this country, this year - I will be there, except for Royal Ascot.

I haven't looked forward to going racing so much in years! I'm aware I am spoilt in that I get to go racing pretty much whenever I want to, so to feel this excited is rare.

If you are able to get there, don't even think about it - just go!

Nine left in the Lockinge at today's 5 Day stage, including Frankel, Excelebration, So You Think and Strong Suit.
Still waiting for the card to be uploaded to the RP website.

One of the major critiscms of Newbury in recent times has that it has forgotten it’s a racecourse and tried to turn itself into an ‘event’s’ venue with the putting on of concerts top of its agenda. Hopefully, Frankel turning up on Saturday will be the driving force that points the Executive back on the right road but I wouldn’t be certain as they keep bombarding me with e-mails asking me to buy tickets to see either Jessie J or some chap called Calvin Harris perform at the racecourse later in the term.

But a major word of warning to anyone venturing to Royal Berkshire on Saturday - the Lockinge is taking place alongside a ‘British Beer Festival’ at the racecourse. I can not understand why on earth are they putting something like this on at the same time as Frankel running?!?

Saturday’s card is now up on Sporting Life. Not the greatest supporting races ever to compliment the old Lockinge. But Henry Candy’s The Confessor would be interesting if he lines up in the 6 furlong handicap.

Frankel - best odds 2/5 - I wont be placing anything on him- but I cant wait to see him again-

He looked absolutely incredible when he had his racecourse gallop the other day he has filled out so much and looks alot stronger which means the rest of field stands less chance then last year. And when Queally asked him to go OMG! he just flew- I watched it about 10 times . I was thinking it must be a dream to ride something like him- I was very jealous!!!

I saw him last time out at Ascot on Champions Day. Wow what a day, what a performance.
can't see anything getting near him let alone past him.

to all those going on Saturday you will have a great time. I can't make it this time but I have got the Eclipse date pencilled in!

I'd say he is more voulnerable this season than he was last. I'm not saying I think he is going to be beaten, but alot of horse's struggle to cope without the weight for age allowance they get at 3. Take Workforce last year for example.*

Frankel was so impressive as a 2 and 3yo that you could argue that there is likely to be very little improvement left in him, as he may have already peaked. Where as some of his opposition may catch him up.*

I'm not saying he's going to lose but don't be surprised if hes not as far ahead of everything else like he was last year. I certainly won't be getting *involved at 2/5, particularly with Excelebration in the field, who only has 3 lenghs to make up on last seasons form.

Excelebration has sinced moved to Aiden O'Brien, and he already has a run under his belt this season, winning impressively against moderate opposition. So there is enough reasons for me to want to oppose Frankel on Saturday *

Just been watching some of Frankel's races. It's difficult to see what could possibly beat him on Saturday and 5/2 on could be a steal.

Shergar stop being a prick <laugh>

I have no problem with you at all was clearly just joking on except for the tit part but if you look through shergars certs in the past I have wished you luck. I just thought it was a bit low to put that on here claiming it was for gambling purposes when it was for a personal reason. I would never borrow money to gamble.

Now how about that selection LOL
