Sunderland first of the relegation battlers in action today and holding out at Everton.

The four teams that could relegate us today are all at home, Villa, Hull, Leicester and Newcastle and there could easily be four home wins. We'll know our fate probably before 5.00...

Everton currently have 74% possession and yet they're managing to lose!! Typical!

Honestly, I hope they all win today so that we can draw a line under it and look ahead to next season. Pointless having it dragged out any longer

Never happens against us. We always seem to play teams on their 'on' days...

All the bottom teams have played 35 games now. Sunderland all of a sudden are in lower mid-table!

At the moment its Hull dropping with us & Burnley

Do you all really think we could beat Citeh anyway.......what would be really good tomorrow is we play well, with spirit and show the nation we aint a bad team. Im sure we wont get the rub of the green like in the home match but if we get stuffed or dont have the right attitude we deserve to go down.

It surprises me every year when people think that it is possible to survive with 35 points or less. The bottom sides always pick up more points in the last 5-8 games than earlier in the season. Happens every year. We've been down since we failed to beat West Ham.

Why couldn't we ever conjure up one of those flying starts? 2-0 now! It will be an interesting battle over the remaining matches to determine who joins us and Burnley in the drop. Part of me is almost thankful that we missed out by a country mile, rather than being pipped at the post in some drama on the final day.
