Late KO for us today so what do we want to see happen before that?

Derby v Villa - a draw would be nice but whatever, one of them is going to drop points, maybe even both.

Preston v Blades - another game where any result would be OK. A Preston win would keep the Blades on the slide but it would bring Preston back within striking distance of the top 6. A Blades win will keep them top 6 and keep Preston behind the pack. Maybe another draw would suit eh?

The Wurzels should beat Forest but you never know. Tough games for Middlesbrough at Millwall and maybe Farke can get the ref to give him some correct decisions at Leeds to make up for the way he was treated at Cardiff. <laugh>

All in all some interesting games about to unfold - at least we'll know the results before we kick off. <ok>

BTW, what's happened to Palace in the Prem - 3-0 winners this lunchtime at Leicester and up to mid-ish table now. <yikes>

They were supposed to be the one team the Jacks could rely on to finish below them. If they lose at Everton on Monday, deep **** looms. Big bucks needed down there in January otherwise they're gone.

It looks like the free falling Magpies could be a new favourite drop contender. They tend to start Prem seasons brightly but then fade dramatically - is that happening again?

Just watched the Palace game. Score line flattered them slightly but they were good value for the win. Stoke v WH delayed due to generator failure. Another big one for the swans that.

A shame Wolves got another 3 points but didn't look like it was their usual free flowing stuff. Is the wet and cold starting to get to them?

A few draws this afternoon would be nice Sparkey. The trees could do us a favour. Hope whitts does the business for them. (will that one ever go away?)

Driving down to the Rhondda later to pick Mam up for Christmas. Should have come down early and taken the game in. Can't remember the last home game I was at. Always tend to be away in the NW.

Not sure if I'll get our game on DAB while driving. Talksport or talksport2 maybe? Radio Wales don't tend to transmit 'non-standard' time games.

Bog off Furter - I need to get my "top 6 bet" cash out over the ton and other team's results will help. :emoticon-0172-mooni

As far as City winning is concerned then I've mentioned before that that's all we need to do now - just match the other sides around us and it's autos for us. The point is we're going to have a sticky patch at some time like the Blades are having now -- we need others to drop points along the way as well.

As far as Palace are concerned remote, I didn't see the game just the result. Looks like Woy has turned them around.

I WOULD like to see Burton survive though...I have a soft spot for them. Not likely, I know, but one can only hope.
As for your bet, Sparkey, remember it's OUR bet now. You may remember you were recently hijacked!!!!

Yeah, come on Furter WE need to get OUR bet over the ton. <laugh>

We've done really well with lots of injuries Sparkey so I'm hoping our sticky patch is on the way past. Wolves haven't had theirs yet either.

With WH running into a bit of form as well as Palace I can see them pulling away from the bottom. Toon already 1 down at Arsenal. Other 'lesser teams' picking up points (udders 2-0 up at Watford) as well meaning it's going to be a dog fight at the bottom. A bit of spine needs to be shown by those at the bottom.

Palace looked sharp on the break Sparkey, especially Benteke and Zaha. Seemed to be playing with some freedom. Could have conceded a couple, but as I said, looked value for the win.

I had 13 quid left in my B365 account after my punts on City tonight - I'll mention that later. <whistle>

So I looked at County's game today at Cambridge and noticed Cambridge have only scored 17 goals this season and Newport have scored 30. Conclusion: - sitck the lot on Newport scoring the first goal at even money was the offer.

Just looked at half time. Cambridge 0 - 1 Newport........26 quid back in the bin........:1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down:

Ah well fellas, time to pack it in on here and head for the Shrine.

As far as my bets on the City game tonight I decided that the odds are too short on a City win - 17/20 is no bet and quite frankly worries me a bit - odds on is far too tight for me.

So I allocated 40 quid and decided I'll put 10 quid on each of 4 City players scoring tonight - I'll have see the teamsheet first to see who's starting so I'll stick it on at the ground. Let's see what that brings.

    Laters pals. <ok>

How long can Brizzle keep on squeaking wins courtesy of dodgy keeping, deflected goals, woodwork & playing v 10 men? They had another 2 goals gifted to them today.
