Shout on your very succesful day, Pilgrim, Bravo. That was a nice message you sent to GB too, as you said, he is a really good guy! Well done, again. <applause> <applause>

I am not giving any more selections from now on, am getting just too old, and apart from you, Chan, ginger, Goldbones, and Oddy, it was obvious to me no one else had the slightest interest. Actually, don't blame them! :emoticon-0100-smile
(However, will stick with Kandoo Kid for the National!)

Bye bye, and thanks to everyone on the forum for all the very kind words over the past decade (or two). Good luck to you all! <bubbly>

I'm sorry to read that, but the truth is that I think exactly the same as you and I had that idea in my head a long time ago, I'm also getting too old, too much. A couple of years ago I stopped posting for two or three months, and then I came back, but always with the idea of stopping writing soon, as I told a member of the forum by private message. Even finding winners at Cheltenham doesn't interest anyone, not even the moderators, who are supposed to be interested in more participation, in fact lately I have only been posting at weekends. Next week I think I will still be around to do the honours for Aintree.

It has been a pleasure to read you all these years. All the best and thank you very much.

That is a shame Swanny, you are doing cracking work currently and it is interesting reading the views.

I agree Nass. Swanny has outstanding knowledge on horse racing and will be missed not just by me but for everyone. I would say he is the heart beat of the forum, he posts pretty much daily win or lose and always gives good insight on each race.
Pilgrim, another top tipster who knows something about every horse in the UK & Ireland, again posts pretty much daily, who more than often than not comes up with winners, e/w doubles etc.
These two guys together post more winners than anyone else and in my opinion should be more appreciated by others.
It’s not just about the horses they pick, for me it’s the thrill knowing that you’ve got a bloody good chance.

I remember when Stick was a regular poster, the joy he gave me pulling out big priced winners was unbelievable, to me it didn’t matter if some of them lost, it was the thrill of knowing that you had a great chance no matter what the odds were.
Losing these people makes betting 10 times more difficult and the forum won’t be the same.
Hopefully they will have a change of heart.

All the best gents.

Haven't liked the post because I wasn't happy with what I read. You shouldn't leave Swannee. I have felt the same way a few times over the years but I'm still here. I don't post on the DT much because I can't seem to pick a winner. The only purpose of me posting on the DT is to help those who like to lay and to help others remove any they were considering. Take a short break and hope to see you posting, even if not on the DT although, as others have said, your selections will be missed

PS I don't think you are any older than I am

Thank you all for those very kind words. For personal reasons was very very 'down' yesterda'y so I'll scrub that last part. However, it is true I won't be posting as much as in the past, but I won't be gone forever. Good luck to you all with your wagers, you all have a fantastic knowledge of horse racing, really do. <ok>
