Cryptic as ever. You think he'll bounce? Beautiful big strapping chaser, I guess tomorrow isn't his cup final but he is a proper horse <ok>

I think / hope Noble Yeats can win the Cotswold Chase and really shake up the Gold Cup market. I think there is an angle which says take 7/1 Noble Yeats for the Gold Cup because in 10 days time he could well be around 2/1 fav. I am not convinced that Galopin Des Champs is a certainty to stay the Gold Cup trip and his price of around 6/4 is horrible for a horse that has only once run 3 miles. I thought the performance of Noble Yeats at Aintree was nothing short of sensational and I can see him bolting up in the Cotswold Chase AND Galopin Des Champs failing to impress at the DRF - maybe even being beaten.

I was going to suggest that maybe Easysland will eventually be back to something like his old self but, with form figures PPPP-00, I must say I am disappointed, and surprised, to see his odds as low as 6/1. Ridiculous. 33/1 would have been a decent small ew punt; but 6/1 stinks

Tomorrow is his day. He impressed for a long way last time out and certainly showed he is potentially somewhere near being a racehorse again.

Four horses to watch today who really impressed me on their last runs. Let's see whether they can continue their progress - their potential festival targets and prices in brackets:

11.40 Cheltenham Jupiter Du Gite (Triumph Hurdle - 12/1) - Absolutely smashed up a classy looking field (including better-fancied stablemate Inneston and Henderson hotpot Jet Powered) at Newbury on hurdles debut and subsequently jumped towards the head of the Triumph Hurdle betting. Will need to follow up today to cement that position but looks entirely capable of doing so.

12.10 Cheltenham Fire Dancer (Plate Handicap Chase 33/1) - a gorgeous looking individual who sauntered round Ludlow on yard debut before being eased after the last and almost getting caught. That was after a 27 month absence and there should be much more to come from this very lightly raced Martaline gelding - hopefully starting today if he doesn't "bounce".

2.25 Cheltenham Noble Yeats (Gold Cup 8/1) - showed an amazing turn of foot to land the Many Clouds chase and it will be fascinating to see how he goes here. To me he has Cheltenham Gold Cup written all over him and looks like a horse in his absolute prime. This could be his year.

2.40 Doncaster Idalko Bihoue (Albert Bartlett 50/1) - I had a quiet fancy for him in the Challow but he was no match for the impressive winner. He did stay on well though and the step up in trip here should really suit him. Could be one for the Potato Race.
