Not vintage racing tomorrow by any means, for obvious reasons, but a couple do take the eye. ‘Ooooooooooooooooooooooop’ at Donny the most inappropriately named horse in training runs for Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer. CALL THE COPS (3.10). No one would every do such a thing re Mr Henderson as he is a total gentleman and as pure as the old driven snow. Anyway Call The Cops was a dual winner last term and ran a race full of promise on his only outing this term when finishing a close 4th in a ‘Pertemps Qualifier’. To be guaranteed to get in the Final of that event this one has to win tomorrow and thus incur a penalty. You can be sure that Mr Henderson will whisper to Andy Tinkles prior to the race that ‘this one needs to win. You follow’ and off 133 tomorrow he really, and I do mean really, ought to. Meanwhile, the word amongst the county set is that MISS CRICK who debuts for Alan King tomorrow (5.05 Newbury) is above average. This is confirmed by the fact that he runs her in an ‘open’ contest against geldings as opposed to seeking out a much more easier ‘mares only’ contest. Good luck, pilgrims.
It's all very boring but there's two shorties running tomorrow that I will be surprised if they lose and if you're quick will gets odds against. 1.25 Donny Cardinal Walter 5/4 2.05 Leops Felix Yonger 6/5 And one at a bigger price 3.25 Newbury Sound Investment
Time for another ****er Bet* Newbury 3.25 1 point Sound Investment 6/1 1 point Royal Regatta 6/1 2 points Westward Point 10/1 2 points Saint Raph 13/2 * ****er bet is a trademark bet (definition concocted by stick
3.25 Newbury- Easter Meteor- 10/1 3lb lower than when second over course and distance last year, is also the course he has run his best race for Emma Lavelle and this year has been running bit better than his bare form suggests, the stable flying, his only other handicap chase win came at Doncaster, strongly suggesting that a flat left-handed galloping track. Interestingly he races off the same mark as when going strongly before falling two out in the 2013 Paddy Power Gold Cup
It was 6/1 earlier stick and just after posting it had gone to 11/2. Now best priced 9/2. I took the 6s on the first 2 purely as savers as I really fancied the 2 better priced ones
2:55 Lingfield - Halation (Needed run LTO, fair draw, well handicapped on best form, good chance. Decent bet at currently available 7/2). GL all tomorrow!
Nicholls has won this on 5 out of the last 7 runnings, you had to have his runner on the list....and then pricewise went and put it up!
It's a bit sad in a way to see Wayward Prince down at the foot of the handicap, clearly a long way past his best now. I'm going with Drop Out Joe in this one, but would love to see WP run a good race off his feather weight
Was there a reason Felix Yonger isn't entered at Cheltenham? Given how he beat Mallowney by a nose when giving him 6lbs you would think that would have him in the mix for the champion chase. He has done well at Cheltenham before including Neptune and last years JLT. Penalty kick today he probably has at least a stone in hand to all of his rivals.
Is it just me, or has anyone else done this ...... couldn't decide initially between Drop Out Joe or Super Duty, then after a bit more thinking time, I opted for Drop Out Joe. Logged into Bet365 and backed Super Duty I have since backed DOJ as well though! Just me then
Anyone know whose planning on running at the famous pre-Leopardstown races schooling session today? It's usually shown on ATR but seems a slightly different format this year as I think the track's open tomorrow for schooling too, so perhaps Mullins and co will go out tomorrow? I know a few on here are also on him antepost so I'll pass on that according to The Irish Field it seems like Tell Us More will head to the Neptune. He's working better now than he was, so hope lives on that we'll at least get a run now anyway!
Morning All. Today's lucky 15. All @ Doncaster. 2-00. Ifandbutwhynot. 2-35.A Doll in Milan. 3-10.Call The Cops. 3-45.Mon Parrain. Good luck to all.
When Mulholland books Barry G, you can expect a good run(see Caroles Destrier). Leave It Be in the 1.45 Newbury.
I'm on this one too Wardy - as I was with CD recently - better value with the smaller stables, but of course only if they win
Mainly concentrating on cheltenham atd mo but think night in milan should go close at donny and worth a wee wager at 6/1.
