I think Donald McCain has done really well to get 2.55 Newcastle Swatow Typhoon 14/1 an opening handicap mark of 124 and with blinkers applied for the first time on this incredibly lazy sort I think he has an outstanding chance of landing the Eider if staying the 4m1f trip.
I looked long and hard at the one Chelsea before deciding that he is just a plodder nowadays and probably needs about 6 miles! Could well be wrong, and he's a good shout ew at 20-1, but I'm prefering Sun Cloud. Running on well LTO after 3m6f on heavy, he is my idea of the winner at a current 8-1
Maybe a shot a in dark but like Wyck Hill- 10/1 altho he hasnt shown alot the last few times, he has been given a chance in the weights and is tongue tied for 1st time so hoping that will make a difference
13.30 Kempton- Tiptoeaway- 12/1 Has been off the track for well over ayear, but is a very talented chase on his day. Interesting the Big Barry on board and at this price is a decent e/w price
I really like the look of Wyck Hill for this. I also think its interesting that Tom Scudamore rides him despite 2 Pipe runners in the field. Scudamore has a good record on Wyck Hill and hasnt ridden for a few rides. The yard strike me as being in better form too with the Giant Bolsters recent efforts. Wyck Hill looks a good staying type and I gotta be honest looking at this horse in the paddock at Chepstow a few weeks back (Welsh National) he stood out - a huge horse. He did nt run too well that day but I have a feeling having been dropped a bit in the weights too that a big run is gonna being taking place. Hopefully odds will drift tomorrow a bit.. I also like Safran De Cotte..I backed him on his previous run and so far he hasn't shone but he now drops to a lower mark than he was when last winning. Having watched his previous runs he looks like he has been struggling with the pace of a race and I wonder whilst he's never really tried a slog in the mud near 4 miles it may well suit him. Its a bit of guessing but I think it could. They are the 2 for me.
aye aye skipper--i'm also doing the daly horse Safran De Cotte-- will like the track, similar to haydock where he excels, the ground should be fine, jake G is back aboard -all looks right for a big effort. Activial 205 K--must win this if going to festival next month with any chance--form looks strong, as long as the ground is not sticky should prevail. Patronella 405 Ling -looks a live one with Jim Crowly booked ,business must be meant ! Last but not least the 11/2 about Crystal palace is way to big--value bet against moyes mob !

If ever Our Island is going to win a decent pot then it has to be today's Eider Chase at Newcastle. This plodder wants about 7 miles on bottomless ground. A few years back on similar ground this race was won by Companero who managed to walk from the last faster than Giles Cross. There was one other finisher tailed off with all the rest pulled up. I suspect it will be a similar war of attrition today and that will be right up Our Island's street. 7/1. Good luck all.
Best of luck Rudebwoy... I could well regret not backing Safran de Cotte as I think this race could be well up his street. I only want to back one in the Eider though, so time to be decisive and all that.... Newcastle 2.55pm Wyck Hill 10/1 BPG E.W Has dropped in the weightings and this huge horse with Scudamore on board should come back to form and I m convinced he will stay this marathon trip.
Sorry mate long night!! lol Newcastle 2.55 Wyck Hill 14/1 + Safran De Cotte 14/1 »Kempton 3.50 Tour Des Champs 9/1 Am gutted he picked wyck hill- spent ages looking at that race yesterday and was chuffed when I picked him out but now pwise has just pissed on my parade
Cheers mate - hope everyone fine as not posted for a while - bloody work - can't wait for the festival going on the Wednesday
Good luck everyone, I chose a few today with some indicators I feel, ie, must be fav etc Kempton 1.30 - BELLINVARRIG - MUST BE 1st OR 2nd FAV Lingfield 1.45 - TAROOQ - EW 5/1 Lingfield 2.15 - RANDOM SUCCESS - MUST BE FAV Lingfield 3.30 - GRANDUER - MUST BE FAV Kempton 3.50 - NICEONEFRANKIE - E/W 14/1 Newcastle 3.55 - DARK DUNE - MUST BE FAV Kempton 4.25 - ROYAL PLAYER - MUST BE 1st OR 2 nd FAV
There is a lot of each way value in the 3.30 at Lingfield due to the bookies being unable to se past Grandeur. Whilst I do agree with them that this horse should win it does leave some very tempting each way prices and even betting without prices. My selection is Uramazin at 33-1 Ew or 16-1 ew without Grandeur with Bet Victor. For a 9 runner race where favourite aside there is no stand out horse amongst them I think these prices look good.
On the same basis Blue, I'm on Two Days In Paris at 66-1 ew and 28-1 wo Grandeur. Good French form, then run over a distance too far on his initial run for his new stable, he ran well for a long way. He should be fitter now and better suited by this trip.
bet365 has just gone nrnb on all races bar the handicapps.time to get on mossey joe before his p2p tomo
Kempton... 2.05 - Actval, 5/2 3.50 - Planet Of Sound, 11/1 Chepstow... 2.30 - Swnymor, 5/1 3.05 - ***o, 6/1 3.40 - Tidal Dance, 6/1 Singles and doubles all round...
Single bet Irving Kempton 15.15. I like First Mohican but after watching The Morning Line he appears to have no chance of beating Irving and Cup Final has little chance of turning the tables on Irving, so 10/11 (PP) looks like buying money.
