Please don't shoot me if this doesn't happen, but one of our customers is in the group that owns Northern Girl. He said they are expecting a big run after the gentle run out last time (came 2nd last time out). Even I have splashed out on this one and had a WHOLE £1 e/w instead of my normal 50p e/w on it. Uttoxeter 305 - Northern Girl
Can’t make my mind up in the big race. I’ve narrowed it down to five, but which one? Frodo keeps jumping out but that’s a lot of weight.
I missed yesterday’s racing due to work but looking forward to today’s action. My arrows are. 1.25 Utt Blameitalonmyroots 1.50 Chelt Pure Vision 2.25 Chelt Benatar 3.05 Utt Northern Girl, thanks for sharing Resurgam. EW Lucky 15 & ew single on NG. Lower league both teams to score coupon on the football. Good luck all, have a nice weekend
Very mixed feelings about Coneygree running off top weight in a handicap today. Whilst I would love to see that remorseless gallop and low, accurate jumping style again, I can’t help thinking that, at 11 years old, he has done enough on the track and ought to be retired. Fingers crossed he comes back in one piece.
I was looking at him. He’s got low. Mileage for an eleven year old. If he’s spot on he could muller this lot.
Chappers just summed up the big race. Not since imperial commander have we seen a gold cup horse win this race. I keep looking for one but can’t find it. Frodon was a great novice up until last year and Nichols is in good form.
It certainly adds to the excitement though Oddy...glad he s running altho a bit surprised.. fingers crossed he puts in a good run
For the first time in several years I'm having a go at the scoop 6 and backing my selections in an ew lucky 63, small stakes only. 1:50 Cheltenham - (6) Singlefarmpayment 11/2 2:25 Cheltenham - (4) Benatar 9/1 2:45 Lingfield - (7) Scarlet Dragon 6/1 3:00 Cheltenham - (7) First Assignment 5/2 3:15 Lingfield - (2) Kimberella 14/1 3:30 Cheltenham - (1) Westend Story 9/2
A year ago today it didn't stop raining on Bet victor Gold Cup day..I was there on a stag do ..fast forward a year and conditions couldn't be more different. Very excited about today's racing. Have backed the following: Cheltenham 1.50pm. Singlefarmpayment 13/2 e.w. Surprised I could get that price. He is one of my favourite horses and I think jockey can work the magic. Cheltenham 2.25pm. Mister Whitaker 15/2 each way. Horse jumps really well and have a feeling horse is better than a handicapper. Have also had a little each way saver on West Approach on the outside chance he blitzes off and produces a front running display under Dickie Johnson. If any of those come in I will back Theeaglehaslanded each way in the 3pm race.. Good luck all...
Am trying to start the day on a high so taking a chance on Shifting Star 50/1 ew in the 11:55 Lingfield. Although recent form hasn't been very good and the horse is getting on in years, it was only back in May he last won and only 5 runs in the 6 months since isn't exactly a busy compaign. I think 50/1 looks huge and am hoping back on the all weather he can discover a little bit of spark and grab a place or better
Morning all. Todays darts at Cheltenham... 12:40 - Montestrel 1:15 - The Worlds End 1:50 - Vicente, e/w 2:25 - Mr Whitaker, e/w 3:00 - First Assignment, nap 3:30 - Point of Principle, e/w 4:00 - Royal Illusion Good to all who are playing today... please log in to view this image
Great days racing ahead-Im just having the one wager today on Nicky the Needles Rather Be in the 2.25 at HQ. Has the pull of the weights over Mr Whitaker, will love the ground and yard is in rude health.
hi fellas! here are my first three verdicts for today: uttoxeter,12 15: although PASSING DREAM wasnt able to build on his encouraging win against misty bloom(winner again since)a few starts back,he didnt have the best of luck, last time out,and is still on a possible good mark,so good chance in a weak contest.. punchestown,12 35: an interesting beginners chase.MALL DINI is one,i like a lot,and he was a very useful hurdler, with also a cheltenham festival win to his name,so if he take to fences today, can run a massive race here.. cheltenham,12 40: MONTESTRELs win at chepstow on debut looks much better now,and he can confirm his form with quel destin today, especially,as he gets some weight again from that rival.big shout for better to come..
